I believe they have changed the P/N from 1116 to 18160 as I was unable to locate that P/N. I'm about to find out if they will work on a gen7 with portal axle upgrades. Great video!
I put a brushless motor in mine 😐 now it eats any driveshafts i get, in like. One battery of time 🤣 So i will definitely get the driveshafts from Axial. See how they do
Yes, the dimensions of the trucks are the same, just different parts here and there. These also will fit on the Gen 8, though you'd still need a short one from the transmission to the transfer case.
@@adamsukennikoff6668 MIP make great, strong tools. You don't need them for everything, some cheap tool sets work great for most things, but the tiny driveshaft grub screws (1.5 mm, I think) you really will thank yourself for spending a little extra on an MIP driver for those.
Way better than the stock ones, great upgrade 👍🏻
Everyone asks what fits, but I figure showing people what works is better than taking my word for it.

Yes, that sounds right. They are the same size and what not, they should work just fine, they just made the design where it fits more trucks.
That's great to know that those fit the Gen 7! Those stockers REALLY wore out!

Funny thing is, for the Wraith, the SCX10 MIPs fit better!

Do you think it would fit the same on the gen 7 sport?

Nice upgrade
Did you shim them tight?
I did not, nor have I had any problem with them. That being said, that truck now has portal axles on it.
Some great info there great job👍
Will they work on a stock gen 7 pro?
Yes, they should. There is an updated part number to look for though. 18160
@@jackofalltradesmasterofnon7860 thank you I'm also looking into buying a tool kit do you have any suggestions that won't break the bank ?

Cool, do you know if they're made of tool steel or just regular steel.?
Mygrowbug sorry, I do not know.
The best I could find on their site "Heat Treated Steal Components"
It's hardened, I do know that. They have taken everything I've thrown at them in my Wraith with Brushless, for over 14 Months, with no sign of wear!!
How does the right truck do with the links flipped like that ?
I don't remember seeing any difference, but I've since upgraded to the portal axles, so I'm not 100% sure.
