My tip: don't do terrain decorations on figure bases. Whatever terrain you might choose will contrast with a lot of battlefields, so keep the bases simple like black (shadows), brown (mud, pine barrens, dirt), gray (buildings and caverns), or green (grass). Save terrain effort and resources for making static terrain.

Haha maybe. In Australia "practise" is the verb and "practice" is the noun but I might have mixed them up 🤣 but hopefully this gets you to paint more

Nice tips! I can appreciate those golden demon paint jobs but I never compare my own painting skills to that. It's the unrealistic beauty standard of wargaming lol Appreciate it but don't let it discourage you or keep you from developing your own skills.
