    This made it clear weather the belt goes behind the entire seat or behind the seat cover. The manual is confusing. This is a great video.

    Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat.

    1:15-Is that correct, car seat belts come over the child seat shoulder straps? or should that be under the shoulder straps?

    Its frustrating to see how effortless it’s shown on the video. I’m an engineer, with the instruction, it took me almost an hour to install two car seats, while the kids are crying in the background.
    The engineers of these car seats may have missed “engineering design and ergonomics” back in engineering school.

      Australian standards seem to be averse to allowing easy to install seats. Having just spent 6 months in the UK with a swiveling rigid isofix seat which made it dead easy to rear face our 3 year old coming back to the Australian seats is a nightmare. I see seats installed incorrectly with seatbelts so often here. The standards here are absurd.

      @@tomkimber9072 Agree. And like most Australian safety standards, instead of trying their best to harmonise with the rest of the world, regulators come up with requirements that are not needed in the US/European markets. Being a small market, we are cornered by certain corporations that could afford to comply and then overcharge the Australian.
      Safety helmets for bicycles and motorcycles are examples.

      @@zimonjonez Yup, I can't help but notice that Australia seems to have a far more extensive industry of professional child seat fitters than other places. If the installation of a child seat is so complex it needs professional installation then something is wrong imo. It's also generally accepted that rear facing longer is significantly safer, yet the mandatory tether system is hugely obstructive for rear facing older children but out the way when forward facing - it is a massive incentive to forward face younger. But Australian standards are apparently the most stringent in the world?

    This is the worst designed child seat. The designers need to reconsider their life choices

    Can I place this seat on the other back seat instead of the middle? My sports car only has 4 seat.

    • @FelixRisingOriginal
      @FelixRisingOriginal 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, doesn't have to be middle rear seat. Main thing is the correct belt path is followed and the seat is very tightly secured (should have minimal movement when you push and pull on the booster seat).

  • @Johnno1979

    I picked up the convertible booster seat today.. IT HAS ONE MASSIVE FLAW. The buckle release is right near the anchor hook (see 44 seconds). This is fine on wagons and sedans but all but makes the seat useless if you have a dual cab. The anchor points are on the floor so it might be possible to tighten by simply pulling the strap but you'd never get it released. VERY POOR DESIGN! I tried an extension which gets makes the release accessible but it then has too much length to tighten. DO NOT BUY THIS SEAT IF YOU HAVE A DUAL CAB. Seems fine otherwise.
