Thats a good price for Jack Wolfskin.......very high HH on that groundsheet, like the idea of stargazing without the flysheet too. Nice purchase, look forward to your first outing with it...cheers..Stu..👌👍
Nice one Stu mate, i like the ground sheet it really tough so less chance of a pine needles going through it when I camp in the pinewoods, I like how it can be used just inner as a mosquito net too, cheers mate 👍
This my favourite tent. I use this as a 3 season tent in the British isles. Had it all weather and snow even tropical storms and very water proof. Cheap and strong and light.
Cheers mate, I've watched a lot of your videos using the Gossamer, one of the reasons I decided to get one was because of seeing how well it performed on your camps, thanks mate, all the best 👍
Trying mine out for the first time tonight, looks like we've got rain due so should be a good test. Will be interesting to see if it can accommodate my 65L rucksack and have enough room to sleep comfortably. Great review!
I bought this tent few weeks ago for 3, yes really just 3 euro, brand new!! Seller in a thriftstore said, completely uninterested.. it was some kind of sail, I took it home and was very excited after unpacking! Only minus is the colour, it's a very light and bright green, not very stealth but anyway I'm very happy with it, especially after reading all the reviews on TH-cam, like this one.
Sounds an amazing bargain that, I've got the gossamer 2 now , the bigger version they are very well made tents these , 3 euro is a steal , nice one 👍 🏕
That is a really tent. Wow you are 6'4" and there is room. That is fabulous. It was so nice of you to come to our channel. We are so glad we became friends with you. Hugs CM
Nice looking tent! One of the key things for me is how easy it is to put up - my husband and I tend to fight A LOT while putting up tents, so the quicker it is to assemble, the better for our marriage! LOL
Yes they can be stressful at times tents to put up, especially in the wind, glad this is easy to put up , I'm pleased with it so far, thank you for watching and commenting I appreciate it, all the best 👍
bought almost a similar tent (1 person tent, color black) a little while ago, very good shopping I recommend Jack Wolfskin Gossamer to everyone. easy to stack and packing bag goes comfortably included. Greetings from Finland!! :)
I did do because you don't get enough pegs to peg out individually, but I had spare pegs that i added so I can now peg it out without sharing pegs with the outer and inner. , Cheers mate 👍
It looks a nice quality tent but as an adventure motorcyclist and backpacker that’s seen a lot of foul UK weather I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been thankful for my flysheet first pitching tents.
Yeh, I know exactly what you mean mate, I think it is possible to put this up as one too, velcro the fly to the inner then put the poles through the sleeves, I'll have to try it that way and test it, but I think it would be ok, thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate that, thanks 👍
Interesting review. Decent weight and low to ground is good in wind, if it’s pitched into it. Also easy to adjust if it’s side on to the wind. Be interested to hear how you go with it. Thanks for sharing mate.
Cheers mate, yeah they are solid tents these , especially for the price, can't complain at all, thanks for watching and leaving a comment, all the best 👍
I'm not sure mate, think it might be a similar size, can't sit up in it but I bought it to use more as a bivvy , and to maybe use the inner tent as a mosquito net in the woods, cheers mate 👍 ATB
I just lay it out fly sheet on top of inner tent, fold either side inwards until it is the same width as the poles, place the poles at the end then start rolling as tight as you can making sure it stays the width as the poles as you roll, add the bag of pegs once you've rolled a few times, keep it nice and tight and it should slide back into the bag. That's how I've done it anyway 👍
Nice piece of gear ... Looks like it would hold up to many storms, protection against bugs and provide sweet views while camping under the stars. Great first impression video my friend 😊 🍅
Great video, really convinced me to buy this tent. Problem is, I cannot find it. Searching google from the Netherlands it feels like I have searched the entire internet for a few days but it is simply sold out everywhere. Do you you still have a tip? I already checked outdoorgear and camping, which you mentioned earlier in the comments. Greetings from NL and thanks again for this fantastic review!
Thanks mate, sometimes they go out of stock but they should be back in stock eventually, they are a solid tents , I'm looking forward to getting back out in mine soon, thanks for watching mate ATB 👍
Good tent, was looking at buying one a few years back but bought a GoreTex double hooped bivi cheap off ebay, it should serve you well for many trips bud, enjoy.
Nice one mate, I really appreciate you watching and commenting, yes it seems ok so far , feels really well made and should do the job nicely, hopefully get out in it soon for a proper test, cheers mate 👍 ATB
Nice one Gaz , it is bigger than you think inside and you will get your bag in with you. It will work well without the flysheet if using a tarp or not . For that money you cant lose 👍🏻atb Dave.
Wow! Excellent price Gaz, I think any 1 man type tent that comes in around 1.5KG is good enough. I like it, like you say if you treat it as a bivvy bag rather than a tent it's fine. Amazing amount or space inside... I don't like to cook inside a tent anyway so not having a vestibule wouldn't matter to me. Nice one Gaz mate. Lee
Cheers Lee mate, yes not a bad price for a solid bivvy tent like this, always nice to have a few options when camping, somewhere between a tent an a bivvy, it feels really lightweight in the rucksack, hopefully I'll get out in it soon and test it out, thanks mate 👍👍
great piece of kit - will have a look online for this tent - like 218 with a full 10:47 minute view as always for full support - hope your enjoying your week
Yeah it is very similar to the snugpak but the snugpak is twice the price, you can always find a good deal on the jack wolfskin online if you keep checking online stores, the jack wolfskin is solid and completely waterproof, great in bad weather, so is the snugpak but I'd definitely save money and get the jack wolfskin, the snugpak is slightly lighter though and is 5000HH waterproof and the jack wolfskin is 4000HH doesn't really make much difference though to be honest, the jack wolfskin is the better option for the money I'd say. Cheers, ATB 👍
@@GazianoOutdoors 115 £ for JW and 160 £ for snugpack......i wonder if worth the trouble to get the snugpack? Looks more sturdy ....what do you recomend?
If you don't mind paying the extra then go for the snugpak but still think you'd be getting a good tent with the jack wolfskin, snugpak is slightly lighter so you'd save weight and think it's a small packsize 👍
Great informative video, thanks! I’m considering buying the JW Gossamer, but have been worried that its too small for me, i’m 6”, since you’re over 6” it must be ok for me :-)
Nice one snowy mate, can't wait to try it out, not the lightest one man tent but it seems solid and well made, and I like the dark green colour, cheers mate 👍ATB
Nice one mate, gonna watch your new vid in a bit mate, looking forward to seeing your next long distance walk , Im thinking of doing one myself maybe next year, only a 80 mile one, along North Wales coast 👍👍
I bought this tent, was in sweden hiking with it takes little Space and is pretty lightweight, i found it to just be alittle to small, the fact that i cant sit up in it is extremely annoying, and the ventilation inside is horrible, you can expect a waterfall in the inside walls of the tent,, this tent is fine for a single night out, but i would highly recomment going for the 2 person version instead :)
Thanks for watching mate and the comment, I really appreciate it, it would be better to have a tad more room, still a good solid tent, take care, ATB 👍⛺
Alright mate, it was from camping world, went down to 79.99 but you get 10 percent off your first order too for joining mail list and add your email, but they've gone up to 99.99 now , just got to keep checking price, I think they are decent if you can get them at a low price too, nice one Ben mate 👍 ATB
Smaller and lighter than mine and at £72, I think you got a bargain there Gaz. Interesting to hear your thoughts when you actually spend a night out in the hills with it. Cheers Alan
NIce review. Interesting they call it a tent. Definitely stealthy. 6'4"? You are a giant. I could easily sit up in that at 5'5" LOL. Looks like a solid piece of kit.
Cheers mate, that's what I like about this bivvy tent, it's really long inside, can't sit up in it but I don't mind, hopefully I'll get out in it soon, nice one Mitchell mate 👍👍
I didn't have a problem with condensation when I used it, I've recently purchased the 2 man version, not used it yet though, hopefully soon, cheers, ATB
It performs excellent against moist due to its ventilation design. The outer tent is somewhat short on the foot end. If it is really windy, make sure to orient that end away from the wind to avoid (small amounts) of rain blowing in.
It was from camping world with 10% off first order, think they have sold out now, if you look around online can sometimes be found at low prices, there's a lot of sales on at the moment too, thanks for watching, all the best 👍

@@GazianoOutdoors oh im so sorry to hear that, it must be distressing for you both. Hopefully this week im out, its been hard, life is here to challenge us. Take care and best wishes. x
Only downside of this tent: Its raining into it when opened. But overall a great tent, i got an older version in black which makes it really stealthy :)
Think I meant using it without the flysheet on a clear night mate, just the mesh inner, if it's not raining, but if it's raining then it has to be used with the flysheet, cheers mate 👍

84.99 now at outdoorgear with free delivery in cactus green colour, exact same tent just lighter shade of green, that's with free delivery, still a nice colour suitable for wild camping 🏕️👍
I need to catch up on your videos gaz xx
Thanks Jules, hopefully you'll be back out making your videos again soon, I've watched your videos, but I've not been watching as much videos or getting out as much,. my missus has been really ill, had swelling on her brain so it's been a bit hectic and stressed lately, she's had all kinds of scans and tests , really hope you get well soon and get back to making your nature videos soon, look forward to watching and hope you get well soon 👍 all the best xx
@@GazianoOutdoors oh im so sorry to hear that, it must be distressing for you both. Hopefully this week im out, its been hard, life is here to challenge us. Take care and best wishes. x
Only downside of this tent:
Its raining into it when opened.
But overall a great tent, i got an older version in black which makes it really stealthy :)
Thanks mate, I haven't used it in rain yet but it seems a good solid little shelter so far, pleased with it, cheers mate 👍 ATB
Think I meant using it without the flysheet on a clear night mate, just the mesh inner, if it's not raining, but if it's raining then it has to be used with the flysheet, cheers mate 👍
@Caene oh right, ok mate 👍
Liverpool?
It's north of Liverpool this pine forest yeah
@@GazianoOutdoors Looks like Formby
@@Jesusandbible it is mate 👍
