I'd recommend doing a video on TMS, there seems to only be one video. I finally figured out how to do it last week after some research. Great video btw
Can you do an indepth video on the scanning. I have everything on my portable programmed except for that. I have my lists setup and everything, but does not seem to scan properly.
Hi can you make a video on how to program motorola xtl2500 trunking systems?? Also I have a bunch of Philadelphia police talk groups but I can’t find the frequencies anywhere for them.
You will need to find an XTL series radio that is in the VHF band. (136.0Mhz - 174.0Mhz) when searching for one, find the "FCC I.D." number. It will be on a sticker on the radio deck itself. This is the only way short of having the radio in hand to determine what band it's on. Also, most departments are running P25 Phase 2 for digital operation. The XTL is not capable of Phase 2. It can only operate P25 Phase 1 IF it has that option enabled.
Just a reminder to set any frequency used for public safety to receive only. Unless you have written consent from the frequency license holder, heavy fines are associated with transmitting illegally.
The only thing I can think of is perhaps the radio doesn't have the trunking feature enabled or there is a conventional channel in the trunking channel zone. I don't have much experience with trunking systems.
was good idea to make a video of the on how to upgrade the xtl2500

Is the individual ID required to listen only for digital communications for P25 of a specific group?
Can you disable transmitting on the xts5000 to be able to only receive ?
Yes, all you have to do is check the box for that personality to RX only.

radioreference shows the frequencies under trunking.
So I’m new at this. My local police department uses 154.980. My 5000 is 700-800mhz. Does this combo work or not. If not what xts do I need to get?

There is a link in the description of the introduction video.
