- If you take a step back and look at how ridiculous catholic priests dress like, you can truly notice how silly they look. Some of these outfits definitely look like wizard cosplay and they're the only people that are allowed to look silly and it's acceptable by society. These catholic priests not only get away with dressing nonsensically but they also have a network that helps them get away with horrible things.

I was born in 1994. I'm about to turn 30. So I'm not exactly that young but I'm not exactly old or middle aged or anything like that. But I had never heard of either of them until literally YESTERDAY EVENING! And I know most of my friends have never either.
I wonder why..... I've always absolutely LOVED learning about all different religions (as well as the history of each religion, and ancient civilizations. I love all of those so much. Probably a little too much lol) so it makes me a little upset to find out that this entire time, there were more of them just sitting there, completely ignored, that I had no idea about. Growing up in the early '80s, I remember the European priests and nuns well. They were among the last of their kind. A dedicated group who left the comforts of their homes in the UK, Holland, and other parts of Western Europe to journey to a developing country. Not just to introduce us to God, but primarily to offer us free, quality education, healthcare, etc
They immersed themselves in our culture, speaking our languages and lived among us - in relative poverty. Since they are married to God and church, we were their families.
What is the worst that happened? Probably Sister Mary's rattan stick delivered with precision across our asses for our mischiefs or neglecting homework. However, molestation? Neither I nor the vast majority of my friends, relatives, parents, uncles, and aunts, who were educated by these individuals, ever experienced being molested or abused.
While there might be a few priests who misuse their positions, influential figures like Joe should avoid making sweeping generalizations. It's simply unfair to overshadow the lives and legacies of these groups of people. Joe is extremely influential and just by showing this 30-second clip millions of people around the world now unfairly think that these people are nothing but old men who dress weirdly while waiting by the pulpit to molest young kids. What most people don’t know is that in the general population, there are more child abusers than in the clergy. Also amongst teachers, scoutmasters, protestants, there are more people that abuse children. If people don’t believe it, they can look it up on Psychology Today, a secular publication, who has written on this fact more than once. I am tired of people bashing my church.
