RM said it was difficult to sing/rap a whole song in English. Boy did good!
RM and Suga were underground rappers before joining bts, but they got hate for leaving afterwards.
you can tell as well the chemistry between the artists as well as the lyrics and video yk. Theres a difference between collabing with another artist for clout and collabing bc you actually vibe off each other and create some dope content Y K
I like how they come together to sing about change. Two countries, two cultures, but most of the problems are the same. Two rappers trying to change the world with their words, and hoping someone is listening.
RM and Suga both had careers as rappers BEFORE bts was even formed. They used to go by Runch Randa and Gloss. Korean rap forums wrote entire threads about Runch Randa (RM), because even as a 15-16 year old, he was turning heads with his rap skills and lyrics, and people were trying to figure out where this kid came from! LOL. For a little more background, you can listen to their song, hip hop lover. And you should totally react to RM's Mixtape. Joke and Do You are musts. Plus Life, Throw it. UGH they are ALL so good.
Bts really respects the culture they one of the few people that actually studied hip hop from ogs and have this immense love for it. If you want to know who inspires bts and who they listen too you might want to check out hip hop phile where bts actually talks about how much they love hip hop.

I put here links to Sugas aka Agust D The last, RM Joke and J-Hopes Airplane, but at this moment they dont show, at least not to me, hope you see those. TH-cam is annoying sometimes with these links!
"Outro:Tear" from the Rap line and "The Truth Untold" from the Vocal Line are my fav from the album..
RM’s also done a song with Fall Out Boy called, Champion Remix (feat. RM of BTS). He has another song called P.D.D, which can be found on their personal channel, BANGTANTV. That track’s music was produced by Warren G, if I’m not mistaken. And a song that has all the members in it, Hip Hop Lover, really shows where they get inspiration from within rap and hip hop, but you need to get a video with the lyrics 👍🏽

I love this! I love that they both are talking about the problems that we face. And I love how Wale told the hard truth about how Trump got in office when he said "when it's time to vote people turn into mannequins...challege that" because some Americans didn't vote in the last election and that's part of the reason we got stuck with Trump. I also love the imagery in the video. The video speaks on racial issues with the interracial couple, gender issues with the girl in the classroom, and so much more. They did a really good job with this song and video. And it's true the world has got to change. And I believe the world is someday going to change for the better.

Thank you for saying he's a real rapper bcuz he truly is. So are the other 2 rappers. Can't wait for you to check out their work. RM previously known as Rap Monster is the leader of BTS, he's the one the members look to & lean on & he's mediator between the company & BTS, even BTS between BTS. RM is the reason BTS was created bcuz he's lyrically gifted among many other things. RM used to be an underground rapper before joining his company BigHit. Boy was known by many in the rap/hiphop scene in his area for spitting bars all the way back in 8th grade. RMs English may be hard to understand so y'all should check out the lyrics so you can actually see how deep he is. They came together in this song to show no matter where we are in the world we have similar struggles, socially, politically & daily & we all pretty much want the same things, happiness, peace, love, respect, righteousness. 'Change' is one of my favorite BTS collaborations. The song is just genuinely meaningful and makes more sense on what's happening to our society now a days. Wale and RM made a very great collab and I love their chemistry on this music.

Thanks guys. For recognizing RM and BTS themselves who keep the culture of rap/hip hop in mind while creating their own flow and colors to it. There have been people who called BTS's songs and hip hop trash, saying other artists who hold better music than them, when they don't even realize why BTS earns the respect in their songs as it is. BTS took the time to learn the culture behind hip hop and even went through the experience of hardships, to be able to make the music they make today. People have their own taste in music and genres, but that doesn't make it okay to call another artist's songs trash, especially if it's awareness of positivity spreading around the world.
This is such a meaningful song, and I'm glad you really liked it!! Personally, it's one of my favorites from bts ever so I'm hecka proud.
I think this song is so underrated. I love the lyrics. When it came out I begged and begged my local urban station to play it but they wouldn't touch it even though it is all in English. Anyway, thanks so much again.
I love Change. Love how they came together and actually did a collaboration between two artists rather than some feature. Like, both came together to create a great track.
The reason why I actually started to get into BTS taking them seriously was them showing appreciation for the culture of HipHop, asking questions to understand that there is more to it than just speaking fast over some beat. Watching back at their career you can see BTS grow into artists finding their own colour and step by step showing a more and more genuine love for music&performance.
Such a great meaningful song, and the vibe between them works so well. Seriously, RM does *the best* collabs.

This song is one of my favorite songs ever. If you really look into the lyrics they speak up about racism and the hands up movement with police brutality. I loved how they spoke spoke about change. This song for me gets me in the groove but also in the feels. Love it.

One of the reasons I love this song is because it talks about the struggles faced in Korea, through Rm, and in America, through Wale. Bts makes a lot of political songs(look through a breakdown of Baepsae or the meanings of Not today) and I love seeing that reflected in Rms music. Hes a smart dude and is very passionate about change and promoting empathy and positivity through his songs. Also too, I love this song because it shows that we all struggle, don't matter if your Korean or American, we all deal with shitty political stuff.
On another note, Rm has worked with Krizz Kaliko and Warren G prior. You guys should give those songs a listen.
