Can we all take a moment to appreciate Nick's unnerving willingness to venture into engine rooms, and other tight spaces single handed, on tricky ladders wearing slippery socks... Hats off to you Nick.
This catamaran is spacious. And Aquilla didn't waste any of it. Clever layout - nothing is crowded. This is a four season, genuine liveaboard traveling yacht. Room for plenty of clothes, food and stores of all sorts. Pack away a year's supply of everything. Wow. What a cruiser. See the World in the comfort of your own yacht - not an overpriced stateroom on a cruise ship. Aquilla, GREAT job. Nick, a fine tour. Thanks to all.
@@chunkychinn Aquilla is well aware that very few 53ft boats will have a full crew. It's more to say that it exists, and likely will be occupied permanently with spare cushions and fenders
@@maumor2 personally I would always employ crew. Anyways Nordhavn are my favourites in particular the 140, but a new model is being released shortly. I hope that Nick will revue it.
Space. So much space. Catamarans are often roomy but this boat takes it to another level! To have 5 cabins on a 50 (ish) yacht is superb. Brilliant tour as always thanks Nick.
Very nice ... I think no matter where this boat was kept it would benefit from an enclosed flybridge. I wouldn't want to only be able to man her from outside. Great tour nick.
NautiStyles covered the same with the inclosed fly bridge th-cam.com/video/gAfosPXVh24/w-d-xo.html Truely a very impressive amount of space for a 54ft.
LOVED your comment about "your daughter's boyfriend" being in the crew cabin. LOL! Totally agree!!! Seriously though, that crew cabin could very well serve as a fourth cabin. It's not too tiny at all.
I never much cared for the Cats. Now that you have shown us round a few, they have started to grow on me. Its the room you have on board. For 54ft like this one, you have bags of room. Thank you so much for sharing this one with us Nick
You cannot beat a catamaran for space, great layout and I like the light finishes. I personally would opt for the enclosed flybridge. Love the main deck master cabin as well. Great tour Nick thank you.
Hey Nick you really cannot beat the amount of extra space you get with a catamaran compared to a single hull, the beam alone allows so much more also I like the main deck cabin on this beauty. Have a great day bud
Thank you for another entertaining video. Best part for me was 5:37 , when you said 'you can imagine spending a lot of time on this' - meaning the roomy boat but pointing the camera at the toilet. Brilliant! 😄
I think Aquila will sell these as fast as they can make them. Great boat and has 2000 mile range at sailboat speeds. The enclosed flybridge makes it an all-weather boat.
I'd put my daughter's boyfriend in the anchor locker personally, but my wife likes him. I love your videos, you bring so much bonhomie and charm to them.
Hi Nick, Now thats a nice start for this week a great yacht from Aquila this 54 what a nice boat this is and what a space in side great I like that big master bedroom on almost the same level as the salon but also a good crew space very nice Thanks again Nick thats a great one ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nick I've been watching your tours now for a few years and I can honestly say at 1.9 Million this is a bargain. What a beautiful boat.. One of the most beautiful Master suites you've shown us.. if I ever win the lottery or get lucky with My Art I'd buy this in a heartbeat. Just stunning. Thanks for another great tour Nick.
I always love the space on Catamarans, but I do wonder how they handle rougher seas. I know they roll more than a single hull, I just don't have the experience to know whether it matters that much. But yeah, definitely would go with the enclosed flybridge!
It's not so much a matter of rolling more as it is differently, especially in a full beam sea. Wave goes under one hull, then under the bridge deck then the other hull. Personally I feel the rolling motion less on a cat than on a mono hull of roughly the same size. That's assuming no active stabilization is in use of course.
Love me a catamaran. So much space and no need for stabilization. Great size for long weekends but not too shabby for longer trips, with that range. Thanks for the great tour!
"good place for your daughter's boyfriend" a classic aquaholic comment 🤣🤣👌never gets old. A fantastic boat, all I'd add to the spec is flexiteek everywhere.
Great tour as always and what a lovely yacht! I wasn't particularly fond of catamarans mainly because of space availability issues in Med marinas and high mooring fees but first Silent Yachts and now this, I think I'm being converted
Great Vlog👍and great boat with a nice layout and features for a 50 footer. FYI: The "Optimus EPS" is Electronic Programmable Steering. You can change how much feedback/feel you get from it, change how many turns of the steering wheel it takes to go "lock-to-lock", set how much effort it takes to steer it, change the speed that the rudders/props/thrusters/outboards/Pods turn and respond at low speed maneuvers to make docking the boat easier, and even have it take different amounts of effort to turn the wheel at different speeds so you get smoother turns and don't send it into a sharp hard turn at higher speeds and knock people around!
I love the light wood - it really brightens up the boat- and catamarans my fave- also love when you say "edit out this but" but always leave it in- you're human like the rest of us...thanks for another great video Nick
what an impressive yacht for this lenght, 16,4 meters ! and so much space, really great katamaran, fine family boat for living on in summer.... thanks for showing us..👏 greets BM
I'm always torn between catamarans & full displacement mono hulls, but I absolutely adore the look of power catamarans and this one is certainly no exception. Beautiful yacht.
Silent Yachts needs to hire the designer for the Aquila 54. There is so much about this boat that is right. It even has Cummins engines? Super awesome and reliable. The one fly in the Chardonnay is its a Chinese boat I understand. But I think I might be able to ignore that because the design is superb.
Thanks for sharing this Nick. I like the under $2-3 Million ships you do as these are within the realm of possibility for me as a retirement gift to myself down the road.
What a super catamaran, so much space and well used. I'd have a cat over a mono hull any day, but it would also have to have a mast. 2000 miles with no fuel burnt! Loving the videos, keep them coming Nick.
That rear "crew quarters" would be amazing if converted to a "dive locker". Take out the bunks and the head and build it out to hold air tanks, wet suits, air compressor to fill the tanks, etc. Just a great boat all around.
Intriguing it is, this Catamaran really delivers with superb accommodations and range. I’d go for an enclosed bridge Thank you Nick for another great tour
Hi Nick. So many big spaces for 54ft. Storage . . And then . . And then . . And then. Talking brochures, do you collect them and gifts, pens, hats, bags etc? Love this one, no wonder they sold so many. Great walkthrough tour thanks 😊
A great looking boat. I really like it. Did it have laundry facilities? I agree with Clarity - I'd have the enclosed fly with internal stair - would be very nice! Thanks for the tour Nick!
9:48 Looks like there was a Molokai moored right next door, be interested in your take on that one Nick, it might be the Aquila 36 but it looked too small. The 5 cabin configuration might be good for an owner/operator charter boat.
for a 54 footer just love the use of the space, but I think where the stairs go down to the cabins I would be wanting a safety bar at the top to prevent you from falling down the stairs. but yes I would have one.
I think your tape measure is faulty Nick! There's no way that is only 54ft! It's like a TARDIS! Great use of space, great customisable options. Definitely needs the enclosed flybridge helm though, regardless of where it was kept/sailed to. Great boat!
Seems wicked huge for 54’. Lovin this big Cat. Reminds me of a big RV diesel pusher hopping from resort to resort but on the water. Thanks for the tour Nick! And yes good spot to keep “him” out of the way indeed!
awesome cat! I can see why they sold 70(!) of these, that layout according to the brochure is the "4 cabin galley up" but it's a crew cabin, who are they kidding. thanks for showing us this nick, cheers!
Im in love!😍 not only it has 3 descent sized cabins but also good kitchen and normal sized fridge. i need to win Euro millions tomorrow and order one. there are 1230 islands in my country which i didnt visit. out of 1242.
Very impressive!! So good the builders of Cats are using decking where before is was just trampoline netting on the hulls open spaces, a far cry from the Ibiza party cruise Cat's
On a side note Nick do you think it would be possible to just drop in the fuel tank capacity so I can tell how efficient that long range is as if it's got a 10,000ltrs tank it's thirsty but obviously if it's 1,500ltrs it's not bad. Cheers 👍
Brilliant tour of a cavernous cat! Did wonder whether a fall down the stairs from the galley might happen whilst getting a nibble after a couple of sundowners! Cat’s certainly offer a lot of space for the length.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate Nick's unnerving willingness to venture into engine rooms, and other tight spaces single handed, on tricky ladders wearing slippery socks... Hats off to you Nick.

salute to captain Nick😊
.....and he didn't have to pay £1.9 million beforehand?
..is he that old?
I always get a little squeamish when he’s in those tight places. Thinking of maintaining gives me anxiety lol

Agreed. Not that I could afford it, but I would get the enclosed bridge

That's a LOT of boat for the money.
There are always compromises. But there's no compromise on range with this one.
My favourite power cats, the 70 is my dream boat, long range, comfort and luxury.

The main deck master moves this boat to the top of my list!
I believe you just showed me my new favorite boat layout. Loved the daughters boyfriend remark.
"A good place for your daughters boyfriend....." Just brilliant. And with the range it's almost up there with the Nordy for space and spec.
Super yacht feel for reasonable price!

Well that’s something pretty special, love the layout, especially the master cabin on the same level as the living space. Great work Nick

hello Nick great as always I asked your opinion on this boat a year or so ago and you hadn't heard of it so I'm glad you got around to reviewing one 😀
Catamarans really do let the designers show their mastery of ergonomics. More space to be creative. A nice tour, thanks Nick.
Brilliant tour, Nick. Beauuuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful and impressive yacht! I just fell in love. As usual huge hugs from Colombia

I thought the 44 is a very good deal with plenty of space and so forth. But seeing this I think it´s even better. This feels more like a 70´ yacht.
That rear "crew quarters" would be amazing if converted to a "dive locker". Take out the bunks and the head and build it out to hold air tanks, wet suits, air compressor to fill the tanks, etc. Just a great boat all around.
Georgeous boat and in four cabin layout too, this or the Prestige 48, choices .. choices... nice to dream. Cheers Nick. :)
The transition from the fly bridge to the foredeck was Epic!!!

You are Correct. the majority of the A 54s have enclosed flybridge. Having a single bridge station, Enclosed flybridge is a Must in foul weather.

Impressive, indeed! Just as you were closing the engine cover, I noticed a crane aft over the hi-lo platform for moving about the tender, I assume.
