Loved the kitchen. Finally a design that gives you plenty of counter space.
Cabins don't feel cramped or like you're in a catamaran.
Also liked the fact that you don't have to climb down into the engine room. Just walk in. Perfect for the older folks or those with mobility issues. Makes things safer.
Amazing range both at high speed and displacement speed.
Would love to see her with all the changes incorporated in her.

This seems like the archetypical prototype to me. A slight hint of being unfinished, but with great ideas that they were so proud of that they pushed it to a boat show anyway.
And good thing, too! It had some interesting features and design choices and I'm glad I got to see them.

I can't wait to see the boat with the upgrades to the upper deck. Other than that, I don't think I'd change a thing.
I’m usually not a huge fan of the catamarans as I find there is a lot of wasted space but this one maximizes space and looks fantastic!
Now that is a large boat & with the extras to go on it has all you could want.
I think the galley area with all the amenities is amazing & the large bedrooms are fantastic.

After the Sunreef PowerCat I really began to like the catamaran style. This really takes it to another level! Those cabins are excellent!
Great boat Nick, however in a boat like this as you often state massive entertaing area / relaxing area, I would half the mastercabin make it into two cabins like the "2nd cabin " After all you buy this to relax in not to tuck yourself away in a bedroom .
The beam on this one is incredible! A spectacular boat. You never disappoint Nick.👍🏻
This yacht is expensive especially if you've been following Aquaholiic you know.
But what makes this boat special is the ease to get out on the water and the easy maintenance
and yearly costs. Well... except every marina around here (NYC) will charge you for a
double spot. So you spend weekends aboard, invite friends,have maintenance parties, check
out the dock restaurants.If only I had some friends.
The Laundry area was nice! Impressive engine room combined with range and speed. I really like the walk around to the foredeck!

Very nice! It's good to see the hull cabins being better designed to feel like rooms instead of bunks.
I'm normally not very fond of catamaran boats, but this one is something special, this is a great boat. And with the planned improvements for the next models, it will be even better. I am seriously impressed.

70 seems to be a sweet spot for Aquila. It has room to spread out on long trips.
Also room for friends and family to take helm watch without being quarantined.

Love me a big cat. Nothing better than twin hulls each wide enough for a queen-sized bed plus full walk around. Great tour as always!

My dream boat (or at least in the top 2) is the Aquila 54. This I could happily replace it with, and live on it. Why would you lose the utility room for a small cabin? If you need more it's probably one of two things: You are moored and had a party and some guest were "unable" to leave, or, you have extra kids for a weekend trip. Either way, lots of room to do what you'd do at home, throw some bedding on the floor/couches and enjoy. Great boat, Nick, thanks for getting us on board.
Nail two hulls together (using galvanized nails I trust) and you've got a big boat. You're right about the wider (beamier) hulls that make staterooms feel like rooms instead of day beds parked in the hallways. I wonder if marinas will see the same issue - one slip per cat ain't gunna make it. Oh well, if its that big a deal just anchor out - who'd wanna leave this beauty any who? As someone who cooks, cleans, and drives the boat I can appreciate the wheel house in the galley.
Thank you for the tour Nick. I really like the layout on this Aquila & with the range it has at displacement speed it would make for a very nice owner operated yacht.
This is amazing. I love the layout. Standout features for me were internal stair to flybridge, nice kitchen, master cabin and engine room.
This catamaran is a well equipped family yacht and can be owner operated, the living space is massive and spacious.

so many great features, like 2 doors per each engine room, easy walk to the bow from the fly bridge, and it is the size that i would feel comfortable operating and docking- without the need of a crew.

Finally!! The 70. My favorite.
A beautiful and well featured boat which is surprisingly spacious on the lower deck for a cat. My one minor criticism would be that I'm personally not a fan of the open plan bathroom in the owners cabin.
Great tour! I was always sceptical about catamarans because of reasons such as awkwardly shaped cabins despite huge size, lack of sufficient crew spaces to run these big boats, high mooring costs in the Med etc. to mention a few but Aquila have won me over for sure. This is another very nice catamaran.

Loved this yacht. One of the few I'd really think about getting. A lot of the yachts I'm just getting too old for - this one looks easy to get around.

Lovely catamaran Nick. Very practical. Just thinking that with solar panels it would make a great hybrid powered craft. Room in the engine space for electric motors and room for more battery storage. A very versatile craft.
Brilliant tour; love the boat these powered catamarans are getting extremely popular which is great to see. I am very fond of the fully enclosed flybridge type helm and the Portuguese bridge isn’t something I’ve seen on a ‘smaller’ yacht (compared to super yachts). Thanks Nick!

My only gripe is the part helm in the galley…… seems a bit unnecessary to me, I’d rather have more galley and leave the controls in the upper helm. With a wing station already, perhaps I’d specify a remote control…..?
The owners cabin is much better than some cat hulled boats, being as it uses the beam for all that space, and as you say, the other cabins are certainly generous enough.
It obviously has the pace and range for serious cruising, but I always feel these cats are more about the holiday space than the boat dynamics.

Normally I'd agree with you, and that was my first thought. Look at it like this; you have seriously long range so are do a multi day transit. Most of that time you'll be on auto pilot, of course, so why banish someone to the upper deck? You can monitor/control things while doing routine things like cooking and eating. It's got the space for lower controls, so why not?
@@markshutt1476 can’t disagree Mark…. It’s just my antipathy for the broad beam saloon layout on cat’s…. A helm position always looks like someone left a steering wheel on a sideboard…… an afterthought if you like….
It’s probably my own “big ship” pretensions….. that the helm is a serious place with a big chair and a commanding elevated position….. presumably a hook for the Captains hat, dials and gauges……. 🙂
@@iancharlton678 agreed. Took me a long time to accept it. But then thought, it's just the family boat and can be operated more casually. It took a lot for me to overcome 20 years of USN for the "bridge" not to be sacrosanct.

My Mother always said "if you can't say something nice...say nothing"... Well.... Nick does a great job with these tours.
I think as an owner operator I would move galley down into that last bedroom suite, maybe with a dumb waiter. Would make that lounge/dining deck enormous.
Possibly incorporate those front storage spaces into owners cabin, to shift the guest cabins slightly forward, which would expand the "utility kitchen" size.

this was absolutely stunning! i would love to see this kinda of layout with jacuzzi and of course with sauna! if you could be able to include those two, i would never leave from this vessel! And the price is just perfect considering what they've managed to include in this!
