Cool, now when you get side swapped you're even more gimped or you have to sacrifice 2 buttons for your motion input. This is a good shortcut, probably the most legitimately helpful one I've seen on youtube but learning the real input will always be better long term because you won't look like a nerd at your local trying to set up your binds. Also this is impossible on console.
not exactly, not at least on hitboxes. It is possible for certain pads to map buttons on their back paddles nowdays. The victrix BFG (i have it, tested it but i play raven so no EWFG for me lol) allows you to do that and there's plenty of cheaper options with decent dpads (+brook converter since most are pc or xbox controllers) that allow you to map extra arrows and come with 4 back paddles and not just 2 (which seems to be the minimum on newer third party pads) WORST case scenarios some pads, like the Flydigi pads or machenike or 8bit just straight up allow you to record the all thing and set it up as a macro... there's 2 paddles minimum so u can immagine how it becomes easy at that point. Also most of these give you the option to save profiles so u can just save em and bring em along as well.
Gamepad solution. On dvj I just bind to L1 my right jab, on kazuya I bind 2+3 on L1, since I played a lot on dvj with bind my Right jab (2) become natural position, and it's easier do electrics on L1. Sacrifice 2 buttons for just left and right it's crucial for me
nice trick. You can try with right hand pressing normal direction F using your index finger and 2 using middle finger, then you can bind left where you bound right
@@kata8821i need to check if it works with 1 2 for L1 bind, in my b 1 1 1+2 string it works as both 1 and 2, although the muscle memory is already used to trying to bind the clear pressing with no binds
There are no rules for tekken (at the time of writing) that say you can't do this (but there are rules for SF/capcom events that say you can't have 2 digital inputs). I built a DIY stick for this very reason. IMHO until they tell you you can't do this this is legit
if someones competent enough to play at tournament they wouldnt be using hitbox controller or asking for tut in the first place🤣 u good man, have fun cuz its online
how would you do this on hitbox? would I have to use steam edit I bound both inputs down and right to the same key going to use it to master the timing.
Let me help you with that, instead of biding it on steam, you can bind them directly in game. Go to Options->Button Mapping->Keyboard Settings 1, you will find two empty slots called LS ( forward ). Bind each of them to a button close to 2 ( right punch ), then you will have the exact same setup as the video.
@@visual9ine it's in the games internal binds for keyboards on pc and it was the same in T7. If bandai didn't want people to do it they could've stopped it easily.
This is a neat trick for playing on PC at home, but it's detrimental for anyone who might want to play in an offline tournament.

Yes it is possible on consoles and is even easier since all you have to do is mapp 1+2 or 2 to a left trigger

Syndox what hitbox are you using here?
Dooood. Im a dj main. Im going to try this. Subscribed

Any tips on how to wavedash cancel specifically on jin and devil jin since kazuya and reina are pretty easy to do
Absolutely genius
Can’t bind a direction on ps5 either, I can do electrics but it would be nice to have them consistent 100% if I can for launches on block etc
The way i do electrics on pad is i bind my left bumper to 2 4 And use that to do electrics. cus the 2 4 will count as a 2. makes it a lot easier
Lol I hopped out of bed to check
I did think of binding my back button with my elite controller

I have a hitbox, and am training to do the normal ones but i cant get them consistently at all, maybe 3 times out of 10.
Leverless doesn’t make it easier honestly, there’s just a different timing to it. Regardless of the controller, you need to practice
can u tell me the company/model of your hitbox controller?
How do i bind this on ps5?
This is legal in tournaments? I mean, changing mapping button is ok?
Nah but your a fraud if you do that 🤣
if someones competent enough to play at tournament they wouldnt be using hitbox controller or asking for tut in the first place🤣

That's actually illegal, you can't have multiple directions on one input
couldnt bind on PS5:( Am I missing something here?
Cant bind with a keyboard😢

Whats the name of that leverless youre using in video
Flat box
Great until you show up in person and realize that they won't let you rebind your controller...
as long as they allow ackward attack button inputs on the shoulders. i don't want to manually press 1+3 or 2+4 lol
It might not be entirely tournament legal since the next guy after you will have messed up binds
Yeah there’s no need for this just git gud you already have enough help with the hitbox
this is not legal according to tekken world tour rules as 2 buttons cannot have the same function
It's legal, dpad and analog are two different inputs
@@SunderStormK tournament organisers make exceptions because those are the controllers that come with the console

"just cheat" lmao
Actually it's not legal, as one of the rules in Tekken Evo is you have 1 and only 1 button for every movement
If thats the case then pad is illegal, since they can move with dpad and analog stick
@@xiSyndox if I remember correctly daigo had to change his hitbox for having such conformation; but you can still use it at home
@@xiSyndoxalso yes I think we are misunderstanding what we mean by legal
Diago had his stick banned because he had last input winner socd
I found out about this by accident, but I chose not to use this technique because I think it's cheating
😂😂😂😂
Good tech but illegal.
cheatbox
Bro Ive been learning how to do it on kb thanks.
