You gotta love those 2 big jugs poking out either side of the GS in the cold! It's like having leg warmers!! That was a rather "spirited ride" to be sure!
Another great video, Ken! I get incomplete sentences too and wonder after if I made the point 😂 No ones complained yet. But yeah, the comparison is like a sports car and SUV for sure.
I went with a '22 1200RR. The big update was for hot running complaints. I had my dealer perform it, since it was already in for service, heated grips and TPMS 200 miles away. The smarter owners refused it since the timing changes cut HP. My ECU flash brought me back up over stock, anyway.
I put a DNK tune on my 22 RR. Then the update was done. I reflashed it back with DNK. Had a buddy living in Long Beach came for a visit to Tucson. Took my RR out for a top speed run. Got it up to 175.
@ Nice. I love to hear it. SLR is my flash for 4 of my bikes and BT for 1. I went with a larger screen on the RR, but I still can’t tuck for an actual top speed run. BTW - Lake Havasu here and I do have some places to open it up.
I want another sportbike but I just dont see any bike around that would satisfy me like the Streety does. I find the supersports super uncomfortable for the leisurely riding I like to do, but the Streety hangs with the best of them when things get leaned over. Im thinking Im gonna get a V Strom 800 next since I really like servicing my own bike, and itll let me offroad a little smoother. In the future Im really eyeing the 2025 Panigale v2, but we'll see where that goes. It being lower on HP is up my alley. I dont trust myself with 150+ HP after experiencing it, yet.
Sportbikes are uncomfortable that's for sure. I just think they are among the most beautiful bikes to look at. I agree, if you have the skill, the Triple hangs with the best of them. The problem with bikes... there are just to many great bikes, its hard to choose.
Hey Ken There’s a new Speed Triple 1200RS due out imminently and hence, some heavy discounts on the current model. Have you ridden one, and thoughts if you have? Cheers Mark 🇬🇧
I have not, the discounts are good. From the reviews of the 2024 model that I watched, there is one thing I did not like. it was how firm the ride was, setup more for the track than street. The shock and forks are fully adjustable, so they may have been set for track and not for road. Other than that I like it, plenty of power, and I like the dash, unlike my Street Triple. I think its a good looking bike. The deals are out there for sure.
@ Yes, a chum has the ‘RR’ and he loves it. But, as a mature (old) rider, the position is a little too committed for me and why I’ve lately sold my Gen Busa. I already have the 765RS and a Rocket arriving shortly Love Triumph! I’ll grab a test-ride on a Speed Triple when the weather allows 🙏
I did switch to the Rosso 4's, but I don't like them. The back tire got 4500 miles with Rosso 4's the front is still good. I since put the Supercorsa back on the rear. I like the grip better and have had no issues with temps in the high 40's and low 50's. The original Supercorsa's also did well in those temps. When its time for tires I will be back on the Supercorsa's. They are only good for about 3500 miles.

Surprisingly that don't get that hot. I know in the summer time with my 1250 I use rest my legs on them. Never noticed any excessive heat.
Good combination of bikes. covered for both hot and cold weather.
Thanks Ken,always appreciate coming along for the ride. Keep it up from downunder.
Thanks man:)

It would be nice to have a clear and articulate speaking voice, I just can't pull it off:)

I think a more fair comparison is a sports car to a crossover/light SUV(BMW MX5 maybe). 😅
Yeah, I like that... M series for sure.

I saw the "spy" photo's of the RS. It had electronic suspension, steering dampner. I got the RR and love it.

@@TriumphLover Me too. Did you get the factory update?

@markbrown1251 I'll be 67 this April. Not on the best shape, but the RR is fine. Also a got the Thruxton and Street Triple Moto2
Do you still have the Supercorsa SP‘s on the Triple? How do you find them in cold weather?
