What a helpful video, in fact I have the same duralast BP-DL750 750 Jump Starter and I leave it charging for many hours and when I turn it on the alarm sounds like if it has a low battery, thanks to your video I can know the possible causes or problems and know how to fix it, Greetings from México 🇲🇽 🙌🏻

I have the Duralast 800 peak amp and it has similar problems. I put it in storage for about 2 years and forgot to read a warning on the back which says charge the unit every thirty days. Now I get it out of storage and it doesn't hold a charge. I only used it once 🤷🏽♂️
Same issue and i only use it one time !!! Not good!!!

i lost the red pin in my duralast jump starter 700 peak amp will it still work
Red pin? There's a large red alligator clip attached to a red jump start cable. The other end of the red jump start cable is connected inside the unit. It's not easily disconnected, so I don't see how you could lose it, unless some one cut it off. Is that what happened?
@@LawrencePinanot the pat that you attach to the car to jump it the red pin that's on the front part of the box I see yours on the front of your jump starter I bought it unboxed it a few years ago but never used it and now I need it not sure if it will work but I'm going to try it just blinks FL
The unit shown in this video has a red "JUMP STARTER + USB ON/OFF" knob, a red "BATTERY TEST BUTTON" and a red cap on the "LOW CHARGE ALERT" beeper, but no red pin. Which of the above are you referring to?
@@LawrencePina Seriously? SMH... On the front of the jumpstarter, just under the "Incorrect Connection" text, just to the left of the USB port, the "red cap on the LOW CHARGE ALERT" isn't a cap. It's a PIN! It even says, printed on the jumpstarter, in plain English text "PULL PIN TO ACTIVATE"... Not a CAP, it's a PIN, pull it out... How do you NOT know that's a pin, when it clearly says PIN..., and you're trying to be arrogant in your response too?... So again, I ask.... Seriously?

I lost my LCA pin for Duralast 750 jump starter. Without that little pin the port will that effect the amount of time it will take my jump starter to fully charge. Its been about 2 years since I've used it and this is the first time I've plugged it in to an AC OUTLET to charge and its taking awhile to charge. Its been charging for about 3 hours now as of writing this.
I should think that after 2 years without monthly maintenance charges, a 12 hour (recommended first time use) charge might be necessary. Whether or not that neglected battery is going to hold a charge, is another question. Probably not. I don't know!
@@LawrencePina OK thanks. It is still literally new so I would hope so. Its at 79% as of writing this. My intital concern was that I lost the LOW CHARGE pin and that was what was preventing it to charge but I see that wasn't the case as it is charging back up.
You cannot rely on battery voltage to determine the condition of a battery. You must load test it.
What would be the point of load testing a battery that loses that much voltage overnight? It can't hold a charge. It's junk!
Load testing let's you see that it is junk before you waste time checking it and other things.

Flashing FL usually means the battery is full, it's time to unplug the charger.
