The OLDEST Song Ever Covered by Minecraft Noteblocks

- Coming in at over 200 years old, the hymn "Amazing Grace" is a religious staple throughout the western part of the world. And in this video, I create a modern-esc twist of it using Minecraft Note blocks. Stay tuned as I tediously place and tune several thousand note blocks in pursuit of an unofficial world record!
NOTE: I don't own anything regarding this song, and I am not making money off this video. I just thought I would be fun to try and cover it.

* Desert Planet - Quincas Moreira
* No Indication - TrackTribe
* Trabaja Duro Juega Duro - Luna Cantina
* Put It - TrackTribe
* Gold in Them Hills - Nathan Moore
* Train Of Thoughts - Hanu Dixit

This video was filmed on a singleplayer world. So I am not playing on any servers such as Hoplite, Hypixel, Lifesteal, Hermitcraft, PvP Legacy, MCC Island, or even something out of the ordinary like LemonCraft. I don't consider myself a pro with note blocks like Etho, Acatterz, Family Craft Dad, or Mudge. I am just a humble rock who enjoys playing the game of Minecraft.

God bless.
the song is 232 years old
lol. you are right
so maybe update the thumbnail
@@YoungMasterJedi It's on the todo list
remember me when ur famous
@@YoungMasterJedi I can't make any promises, but I will try
Also still haven't forgotten to change the thumbnail.
I'm from the Philippines, and this is the first time I've fully seen this songs lyrics. I would've never have learnt this if it wasn't for your vid, keep it up bro 👍
Funny enough, that's not all the lyrics. But the song gets pretty repetitive if you do all of them.
dAMN the 1700s be pushin out bangers
(amazing note block cover :) )
yea, who knew?
Thx
For some reason my dumbass looked at the thumbnail and thought "Minecraft is only 15 years old tho"-
That was my fear when creating the thumbnail.
Same
My dumbass didn't even think about that and just accepted someone made a song with note blocks 250 years ago until I actually watched the video.
@@fishyfish201 In your defense, you are not the only one that has told me that.
Technically going by the release date its 13
I'm imagining when everyone knows your name as one of the best youtubers.
Same
Many thanks. That is quite the complement.
You can only imagine
same
Mr Beast
One of the best note block covers I’ve heard so far.
Many thanks,
Much appreciated
This isn't the oldest song. This is the "My chains are gone" version, which was made in 2006. The regular version was made in the 18th century.
I thought he was 100 million youtuber.
what?!
@@HalfBreadOrder the quality of the video is amazing
@@bhluschrean Many thanks. Glad you appreciate the work.
probably not the oldest song ever but still impressive
No, you're probably right, but glad you think it's still impressive
definitely not, the first ever KNOWN song is "Hurrian Hymn" created around the 13th century
I don’t know why, but I started thinking about a different song. All I can remember of the song’s lyrics is the following: “… My god, my savior…”
I don’t remember the song’s title, but I know it was played during church.
Ironically, this song has that line in its chorus.
Such fine harmony! A suggestion if you are to make something like this again, you may wanna have the melody track be multiple pieces and have the track with the beat activate them, so that when a new verse comes up, the beat's track has a connection to the melody's track and activates it. It would make the timing easier to test and make you only have to test a part of it at a time.
I'll definitely consider that if I ever do this kind of thing again. Thx
For Amazing Grace, this is pretty good
I think so as well. It's definitely not like anything I heard before.
hmm, you could go overkill in this record-breaking task and do a Traubentritt, Krummavisur or even Hurrian Hymn, for Nikkal's sake, but you decided to approach it calmly, discovering and sharing new songs along the way. i appreciate it!
Glad you appreciate the simpler approach. Sometimes it's best.
That's Music from Far Cry 5 intro. Nostalgia❤
OOooOOo-
I've heard this played by bagpipes
btw I loved the cover, soooo smooth :D
yes, bagpipes would make it very interesting
Slavery is as controversial as putting pineapple on pizza You call people who like Hawaiian pizza evil like how slaves called their slave owners "Julle fokken klappers" I think and to be honest i would to. My opinion is biased so it may not be true but I couldn't find out what African slaves called plantation owners. So nothing I say may be correlated with the video you just mentioned slavery and I had to express that I disagree with slavery of any kind that it's sad that some places still have slavery, #blacklivesmatter #endarabicslavery
Good job but the oldest I think is actually the song “Hurricane Hymn” it is thousands of years old
This is a super impressive video you’ve made Stud. Proud of the work you put in this especially since I know I wouldn’t be able to do something like this 🙏
Appreciate it, Jaeson
your so talented man, well done
Many thanks. Glad you enjoy it
5:56 it starts here
thx
If Gold is a bell and wool is a guitar, what is a noteblock on a noteblock? I HAVE TO KNOW HOW YOU DO THIS AND HOW DO YOU HAVE THIS MUCH PATIENCE AND DETERMINATION.
I believe the note on top of a noteblock is a bass drum. Don't quote me on it though
Stopping people from saying “Fourth”
Anyways GG I know redstone is hard in both bedrock and minecraft
Thanks, glad you appreciate it.
You need more visits for the effort
Glad you think so
5:58 is when the music starts
we need the words: "hey apple" now
Me when I go past that one part of the Nether bridge where I lost everything I had grinded hours for (I'm staring at the exact place I died): 6:00
1:08 Europe eat Asia
if you do the national anthem of my country then you could add an extra 200 years
edit: heh, forgot to say i’m from the netherlands
HYPIXEL SKYBLOCK COVERED THE SONG FIRST
I've always wanted to do a hymn as well. May I request "I Am the Bread of Life"?
Edit: I'm not crying, you're crying!
You can definitely request it. I don't know if I'll get to it though...
this video looks like it was made back in 2013 in therm of quality
uhhh... thanks?
@@studstonefr like what
@@spicy-brawlstars uhhh... thanks?
I really love the 3 note raise you added for the last part!
It actually came out really well. I was nervous to even try it, but I am glad I did. Glad you like it also.
There have been FAR older songs covered
Glad i found your channel. You sound like a great TH-camr
Glad you found my channel as well. Much appreciated.
its funny how it says 250+ year ago even tho Minecraft only is 12 years old
Oddly enough, Minecraft is celebrating their 15th birthday.
The song I covered is 250+ years old. I thought the same thing as I was making the thumbnail.
this is decode and didin't even watch the vid full but epic starting
hmmmm, must not have been compelling enough since you didn't watch it.
Thx for the feedback tho
Great job! You had all the extra sound and you had it all. I loved it soooooo much!

How can I have grown up in Church, and not know what amazing grace. Like it is more popular than the people at my church like come on.
That's probably more common than you may think. Different churches support different themes, songs, portions of the Bible more than others.
It looks like hes fixing random stuff everytime he says something didn't work cause he doesnt play it
I'm thinking he didn't want to spoil the song or something like that. That's just my guess tho
Someone please make Hurrian Hymn #6 with noteblocks
This sounds like an indirect request for me to look into this...
how did you make that????
It took a WHOLE lot of right-clicking
