I remember talking to Alec back in the day when the group was randomly called, if I recall correctly, literally "GENCON indy," like you could not have given it a less syntactically accurate name. I still remember once he was made admin immediately messaging him to ask if he could please change the name to be correct and he said it was already kind of a process since the group had enough members that it required a formal procedure to change the name (I want to say it was if you had over 250, which we just barely did at the time). Love that I am talking about 2011 like it is ancient history
