That's really not true... a lot of the single star records and various shenanigans are much closer to TAS than this... although without a doubt it is obviously an insanely good run

for me it was 5:35 that was really cool
The first run ever and i never said that: This run is really almost unbeatable. Biggest flaw i think is the first upstairs blj, lost maybe 3 to 4 secs. The sblj was so clean snd almost everything was pretty flawless. You might criticize that but this might be unbeaten, at least for years. To beat this you need flawless bljs and even more frameperfect and angleperfect movement. One bowser throw was a bit slow, maybe also a sec. This run is astonishing. Good job kanno.

Technically, to beat it, you need only one of those things.
@@Arcessitor While that might be true, if you were to break the record, you'd have to have a run that's as good as this one, but with only one of these improvements. That's still an insane requirement in and of itself.
You’re wrong, he uses very basic movement for a wr level run. Plus the mistakes you mentioned, i think 6:0x is possible
I thought the same thing too watching this a year ago but somehow green suigi just had a 6:33 with 15 seconds of time loss in bowser 2. he could’ve beaten this run by 9+ seconds. I have absolutely no idea where that time save came from other than the couple of seconds kanno lost on bljs. suigi might truly be the best mario runner ever after setting that unbreakable 16 star pace, but maybe we’ll be back in a year on his we thinking the same thing.
I literally finished today SM64 for 1st time, and I have to say - you're pretty good.

This is absolutely insane. I can't believe something like this is possible. Incredibly impressive to see this done dude, I mean jesus.
Also I like to imagine Bowser going in, waging and fighting and WINNING a war against the toadstool kingdom. Taking over the capital, imprisoning the princess, and finally being in power. Then Mario comes in and undoes it all in 6 minutes.

Sm64 will forever be the best mario game in my opinion I love speed running smb 1 and 3 but there’s nothing like this game. A fun game to play through as a kid a fun game to speed run since there’s so many category’s. Also gg on this run to have this type of skill in a game that takes a large amount of skill like this is amazing! gg on this run and gl on your future speed runs

His 50 star door BLJ was not the cleanest and the Bowser throws were a bit slow despite the fast launch. So he can definitely save a few frames to about a second minimum.
@Karina_Aespa_NasaAreLiars_AespaStan_Kekw_AespaBest he is playing on us version so the dark world entrance is equivalent to 1.19 of Japanese version

I'm curious to know that if you defeat the second Bowser after skipping Dire Dire Docks and then go to Dire Dire Docks afterwards, does the submarine still disappear? If don't think there would be any way to obtain that star.
The first star “Board Bowser’s sub” always has the submarine loaded in even after beating bowser.
@@wConor I left that comment 7 months ago and forgot about it, but I've already found a video that was uploaded by UncommentatedPannen that's titled "Entering DDD While It's Moving Back" that answered my question. Turns out that defeating the second Bowser is what triggers the submarine to disappear.
How long does it take to get good at 0 star? I got sm64 on WiiUVC and and emulator recently and I want to see how long it will take to actually get good.
getting a 0 star run is a big of accomplishment on its own at first lol.
The WIIUVC version is one of the worst versions to speedrun on
