What’s the movie Battleship about?
Lt. Alex Hopper (Taylor Kitsch from Savages) is a weapons officer aboard the destroyer USS John Paul Jones, while his older brother, Stone (Alexander Skarsgård from Big Little Lies and The Legend of Tarzan), is the commanding officer of the USS Sampson.
A fleet of ships encounter an armada of unknown origins with destructive goals. An intense battle on sea, land, and air breaks out. American and Japanese forces must work together to find a way to save the planet.

The aliens rescuing their own was...somehow nice.
I love the guys in the engine room. Looking like "oh, something is baging the door and the ship is in lock down. Shall we radio for help?"
The kind of movie that makes no sense but managed damn well to be fun.
This is what made me love this movie. The aliens weren't just a race of violent sociopaths who wanted to invade earth simply because "we're evil," but living creatures that possess empathy and loyalty to one another who were simply part of an intergalactic imperialistic regime that earth was on the wrong end of. This added a shade of grey to the plot that made it much more engaging.
Love how the aliens operate so casually here haha. When they board the destroyer to get their man back, they just bust in and extract. No unnecessary kills or damage, just get the dude and bounce. Probably could have taken out the whole crew out right then and there and disable the ship... but they didn’t. Just wanted their friend back.

One of those movies that not only can you watch numerous times and say that you enjoyed it better than the last time you saw it, but each time you see it, even more great details become apparent to you and watch it again.

It always annoys me how in movies when a protagonist is shooting at a target that won’t take any damage they continue to walk forward just to get bitch slapped. Like walk backwards for Christ sake
I just love the alien's armour. And their tech. And the fact they came to rescue their buddy. Also that they have some variety in physical form.

When this was in cinemas, I persuaded my parents to let me take my younget brother to see wrath of the titans. We did not, we saw this MASTERPIECE. Any movie that drifts a battleship is a damn good movie in my book. He's still not forgiven me for missing his movie.
This movie is highly underrated
Man, when I first watched the movie in theaters (which was almost 10 years ago). I was like, “Now I can’t unsee Rihanna as a Sailor.”
So this is what the UNSC must’ve felt when they first encountered the Covenant

Love how Hopper can get hit in the face by what is basically a metal gauntlet, hard enough to make him summersault, and not have a mark.
I’ve never seen this movie, but my jaw hit the floor at the end.
