The thing with Brutalist buildings is it can be done really well and look amazing and beautiful. The Oldest House in Control is a good example of how a Brutalist style can look good. But it can also be an excuse for cheap, lazy, and ugly.
@Fordo007 Eeeyyyy, someone who knows what Control is! XD But yeah, it's possible for brutalist to work, but I think typically the people who choose beauty don't design brutality buildings, and those who do don't care about beauty, merely efficiency. =(
its like these companies bank on people knowing the old logos, but eventually, there is going to be more people tthat dont know the old logos, more than the ones that do know them.
I kinda like the Dunkin Donuts logo where they dunk the donut. I wish that was their logo still. Also I think it was Dustin not Duncan goes to the hotel.
Holy shit never thought I would hear this name again, I also saw this as a kid. Man I miss some of these old movies that we used to watch like dunston, toy soldiers, ernest.
@@desertbeast51 Toy Soldiers fucked me up as a kid lol, that scene where they mutilate and transform the barbies while they maintain their peppy, pre-programmed personalities? Yeah, that was def scarring for kid me.
Well, apparently some of these masterpieces cost 100 million to 1.2 billion dollars to make! The most expensive logo Symantec apparently cost them 1.2 billion dollars! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think Netflix is trying to curb VPN usage with the password sharing rule stuff since what I have read is that they use IP addresses to figure out where 'home' is and using a vpn with a different IP will make it seem like it is not being accessed at home.
I love when people get mad because a company wants you to stop stealing their product or service. If you can't afford it, then you don't get it. There are many things I can't afford and I don't go stealing them.
@@HellfireCignus Its not stealing when Netflix used to actively encourage password sharing. They stopped because god forbid someone using it isn't paying them to watch only one show or movie. Stop simping for corps
I did notice that, as someone who spent a lot of time trying to do the same sort of thing with my initials, but I totally forgot to mention it. Also I think I sort of just assumed that...well basically it's a simple enough idea, I just didn't give JonTron enough credit that he was making a reference.
Dunkin Donuts 🍩 always going to be Dunkin Donuts However whike in Massachusetts I did see a donut shop same color shreme of DD of their logo and it was just a local pop donut shop
Honestly, when I see these oversimplified logos...I feel it just looks lazy to me. A lazy pile of shit, proving the companies want to hoard every scrap of money they can get while cutting corners, even with their own logos. -_-
I miss those old logos… they had character and uniqueness to them. Also nostalgia.
JonTron is well known for having strong opinions about post 1940s architecture (because it sucks and he's right)
He is very right

That sounds right.
But yeah, I liked the donut being dunked
18:40 The movie is called 'Dunston Checks In', I remember this because I saw it all the fucking time as a kid for some reason lmao

Yep, was pretty sure it was that movie
Here we have a circle, smooth and inoffensive
I feel like you'd enjoy JonTron's architecture tier list. As a small-time architecture enthusiast, that one makes me smile.
This angers me beyond all words... It's disgusting how insulting and intellectually bankrupt corporations have become.

Which really seems INCREDIBLY sketchy.

Nooo I have stuff that had the newer logo for The GAP but it had the The on it
I don't know if I agree with his revision of the Dunkin' logo. Is it an apostrophe or a comma? It's too complicated.
yeah, just have the colors orange and pink.
Weren't there like 5 or so reactors on this channel? What happened to them?
Since no one mentioned it, the "new" Jontron logo is rip-off of Tolkien's logo
