Yes at the major car accident I have of mine it was pretty much still good to go no airbags deployed it was very safe and we fixed it

One of the most durable vehicles I ever owned. Had 268,000 hard miles when I sold it. Bought it with 30,000 miles on it. That was 5 years ago and it’s still on the road with its new owner.

Same here I sold mine with 280k miles in it 0 rust new tires and regret it everyday.
Proud owner of a 99 expedition Eddie Bauer edition. Would never do this to mine but at least I know it can.

ROBBIE IMPERIAL i got 2 off them , me and my wife.. mine is a 5.4 tho... all around beast.. Had and accident i deboned a cab driver that ran a red doing 55... i had to get a new bumper and drove the truck home
+pyro8818ak47 I had a 99 with the 4.6. Those years were just tough as hell. I beat mine to death. I had a lady who was high on crack slam on her brakes in front of me and i rear ended her at 30mph and i totaled her S-10, cop watched the whole thing happen and she was arrested for possession. Bent the bed and frame of her truck so bad the drivers side rear tire wouldn't touch the road anymore. Called a buddy to come with his truck and we used a chain to bend my front bumper back up off of my tires and i drove it home. Traded it in at 330,000 miles on it. Ford really got it right with those trucks. Only bad thing was for some reason the air bags didn't blow and i hit the steering wheel pretty hard, lol. Should have been wearing a seat belt.
maaan, didn't think it'd get that much air and stay intact. Love having an expy! The way he slid reminds me how I do it in mine out here in the desert. They're tough!

My 2000 Expedition is a beast on the beach. NO Sand dune can stop it. 1st gen expeditions are really fun vehicles.

I have the 2wd Lincoln version of this. Now I’m thinking of getting one of these as my 4x4! It’s unbelievable how reliable they are even at 220xxx miles

I have a '99, I don't abuse it like the guy in this video "because I really want it to stay nice". But it is the most reliable vehicle "and only" vehicle I've ever owned. Especially for being 20 years old. I'm gonna buy a beater and put the ole pig in storage for the winter. I want to be able to enjoy it for the foreseeable future.
It's never broke down on "me" once.

@@BustedKnuckleVideo Agreed. I just sold my old 99 Ranger 4x4. It blew a head gasket and I also found a major rot spot on the frame so I picked up my current rig which is a 2006 Expedition. It's a great rig!

Holy shit! Is that stock? I have an 05 escape and that little sumbuck takes me anywhere and everywhere I go in all kinds of mud and ruts and whatnot. Love my escape! I think I'm the only person in my area with mud on my SUV!

Something about ford expys are wonderful. I drive an 06 xlt and smoke my friends' 2012 tundra in a race everytime we get off work. Powerful little triton engines in these cars, absolutely fantastic. They make for good sleepers if you got an engine replacement as well!
And they can take a jump!

Idk what it was about these front ends but they never fucking broke!! I put my '99 F150 through absolute hell and I never put a set of shocks, ball joints or bearings on it. I had 276,000 miles on it when the tranny went. The first gen tritons knocked, wrapped, pinged, ticked, but they never died

It can handle all this but a truck hits my left wheel at 15 mph and it breaks an upper ball joint

I'm on my 3rd set of ball joints on my Navigator. I have had them FAIL 2 times at idle speed. I can't imagine if I was at any significant speed
