    This is a video tutorial on how to replace the charging port on your Samsung Galaxy S8.
    All models - G950
    Samsung SM-G950V Verizon

    1. Small Phillips head screwdriver
    2. Open Prying tool
    3. Hair dryer or heat gun

    Thank you so much for this video! Seriously helped me change my charging port and it works great! Only thing I had a problem with was getting the back off! But that’s an easy fix to just buy a new back😂

    I replaced the screen and daughterboard on an S8 today. It was a mission I'll tell you. All the finesse required makes you think, how the hell do the chinese make so many of these things so fast?

      It's easy to put them together but tricky to take apart ;)

    Are we suppose to use adhesive to glue the cover back on after it's all said and done? Or do we just put the cover back on?
    Will the old glue still work? 😟

    There was no need to remove battery. Maybe the motherboard but you run the risk of damaging the battery by removing it unnecessarily.

    Why do you need to remove a battery and the power buttons to change a charging port

      Mahmood Abdullah because you need to remove the mother board so you can physically remove the charging port

    i bought two same boards E4 and when i install new board the usb is charging but there is no network, and when i install the broken flex board there is network again???

      yes i have the same problem too , i change the port on got in ebay and after install i have no network.. and everything is connected right...

      Did you guys remember to add the SIM card back into the phone? Just wondering. But maybe you didn’t completely hook in a flex cable properly.

      There are 2 versions of the board, 950U and 950F. F is for international phones. if you put the wrong board in you will get no service.

    The frame was fine, you could have bought screen only w/o frame and avoided the headache. I kept the battery in but disconnected and all the buttons. Screen without frame is cheap from china, great quality to

    Last night I put my s8 to charge…after a while i comeback in bedroom,and seen on screen that red light on screen like in this video,but phone was turned off…I leave it more time to charge..when I tryed to turn it on ,I can’t,I tryed power button+volume down,I tryed power button +volume up,and power button +and screen picture button…and volume down..nothiiiiing…I need help please…don’t want to turn on,I can’t use the phone and I have so manny thing on the phone…I need HELPPPPPP

      I think they are flex cables one is usually for wifi other for phone signal they are fidly I hate those easy to damage

      It worked just fine for me. The only thing I had a problem with was getting the back off and it shouldn’t matter if you crack the back, just buy a new back to replace it later. That’s what I did. But seriously, galaxy backs are the HARDEST to get off!

    Seems a lil much to replace a small component, which if they could put a cover on the port then this video is useless. Also this is why you purchase the insurance, itll be a hell of lot cheaper. DIY is not always productive.

      Yes but even with insurance you still have to pay the deductible and most people have to pay 200-$300 for that when this tiny piece only costs like 15 bucks

    i did everything right and now i cant see whats on my screen. The phone comes on but nothing appears on the screen. Can anybody help me with this?
    Edit: I've also done the volume down + pwr button to avail as well.
