I like the change with Viveza. I use Viveza a lot and it's good to know I don't have to launch it to use it. Yeah!

That is good news especially if you use Color Efex on your images. I like having Viveza tools in color efex too since I never used Viveza.

DxO Viewpoint does the same thing as Nik Perspective. As DxO develops Nik Perspective - and as most people who run the Nik collection run it through DxO's Photolab as their primary raw developer together with Viewpoint and Filmpack, dividing their resources through two programs that do the same thing makes little sense. If you have it installed, Viewpoint runs natively in Photolab (you don't even realise it is a separate program) whereas you have to leave Photolab & use Perspective via a separate tiff or dng file. No brainer, really....... but you do have to buy Viewpoint separately.

Thanks for this comment. Interestingly DxO claims Nik Collection users launch it from Photoshop or LrC more than PhotoLab. They were very clear that they had overlap in ViewPoint and Nik Perspective so I understand why it was removed. Only a few people have made a comment stating they would not have purchased Nik 7 if they knew perspective was missing from the package, but most people don't miss perspective. I personally never used it, and until they mentioned it was missing I had never opened that program.

Be warned that this “upgrade” does not include Nik Perspective. If I had known this before purchasing I never would have bought the “upgrade.” What a rip-off!!!

I did mention that early on in my video because I figured a few people would not be happy about NIK Perspective being removed. If you have NIK collection 6, you will still be able to use that version after installing NIK Collection 7. I think DxO seen overlap between ViewPoint and Perspective. I imagine they seen more value in maintaining ViewPoint and offering updates there instead of continuing with NIK Perspective. I am sorry you didn't know it was removed before you purchased it.
