I was glad to see you take a look at this new feature, Dave. I hope you'll do more tutorials on Nik6 and the other changes in this latest release. Well-done! Thank you.

Dave, it would be interesting to hear how you use Nik in your workflow. For exame what are advantages/disadvantages over PS/LR or best practice when using with PS/LR.

I learned something new today. You are an excellent instructor. Another helpful tutorial. Thanks Dave!

Thanks for this on control lines. Have not used it yet but now will. Would like to see more on nik 6.

Thanks for the video Dave. I don't do much landscape photography and haven't used Viveza before. I might now have a closer look at it.

Outstanding! You are the best David! Thank you so much - Mario. I really liked the Control Points and the Linear Gradients. I am also going to go back and watch your prior Nix Collection Videos!

Great video again, Dave. Is there a keyboard shortcut to toggle the mask on and off instead of always having to move your mouse and click?

It's all about masking these days and I think this is a welcome addition to Viveza - great.

I like the idea of those linear gradient-style control lines. I've had to replicate control pts across a linear path in the past. This would save time & prevent vignetting (for lack of a better word) b/wn the boundaries of the multiple control pts.

Thanks, very helpful explanation on the details of part of the Nik Collection. I like the way you explain all the actions.

Thank you for your tutorial. I haven’t been able to use Nik’s 3 or 4. I brought the newer updates but they weren’t working on my m1 Mac. If you have a link for all of your tutorials for Nik’s 6. I would love if you could send me a link.

I worked Nik’s for years. when DXO brought Nik’s, my work got knocked off base for years. In short I updated to Nik Collection 6. I would like to see more tutorials on digital retouching portraits.

Quicker and easier is to use an Action to create a 'Merge Visible" layer, turn it into a Smart Object, then call Vivenza (or any Plug-in that plays nicely).

Hola Dave, you were wondering about the meaning of Viveza? DXO is a French company but Viveza in Spanish could be translated as: "cleverness/cunning". Great tutorial as always!. May I ask you something: what you can achive with Viveza can be achive as well as using TK8 (Color Masks)? Cheers!

Thanks for the definition of Viveza, I always wondered what it meant. You can achieve more accurate results and do more with TK8. I mainly do all of my editing with TK8.

Thanks for the demo, these control lines look like a really interesting new feature, I am assuming these control lines also work within other Nik effects such as Colour Efex etc?

Looks good. I am beginning to think I can do everything in Photoshop without bothering with Lightroom. The Camera Raw is identical in both, right?

Pretty much. But LR is a fantastic cataloging system. That’s it’s real strength. I launch PS from it. Easy enough to do it that way

I like it better than the controlpoints. I don't have the update yet, but this improvement convinces me. thanks for the video

Great lesson Dave. I noticed that there was only one filter in the list on the left. Can I assume that it was the neutral filter? Thanks for doing this tutorial.

This is probably off topic. I have Nik 5 and primarily use Silver EfX. Has it been updated in Nik 6. I rarely use other Nik plugins and don't need to upgrade unless it has changed.

Dave try moving the eye dropper around after you have turned off the mask on the selection.

Why am I not able to use Nik collection “unless” I am connected to internet…..why can I NOT use it “off line”?

Seems like a far cry from the precision possible with the Tk8 panel. I think I will save the little money that I still have left.

Wie soll ich es gut finden wenn ich kein Wort verstehe. Ich arbeite mit Adobe welches das alles genauso gut kann. Dafür würde ich nicht extra so viel Geld ausgeben, Zusatzkosten und Zusatzarbeit !
