There's so much shit about this game I don't understand, and I've been playing for almost 15 years
A lot of it can be explained by coding errors, to be fair. Any value that goes over 255 is effectively reset to zero, certain spells were never meant to be cast on self (soultrap, for example,) and can cause massive issues when someone does that.

I didn't know there was a boat to Solstheim so I just walked on water the entire way there... without that kind of speed.
Nearly every single NPC will tell you about the boat. It seems to me like it would be more difficult to stay ignorant of the boat's existence than it would be to find this information.

I loved figuring out spells and alchemy in this game because yes, it does become insanely overpowered but the game offers little help in learning those overpowered setups.
I respect a fellow console player.

Pro Tip: If you specialize in melee combat, create constatnt effect restore fatigue enchantment asap, effect doesn't need to be too strong to make your fatigue stay full pretty much all the time. Fatigue level makes a huge difference in hit chance, especially on low skill levels!

You can find enchanting vendors in towns, and especially in mage's guild halls.
There's no way to know who they are before speaking to them.
You can sell items that restocking vendors sell in order to increase their stock.
Eg: The alchemist in Balmora sells 10 racer plumes and 10 trauma root. Buy them and sell them back. She'll have 20 every time. Buy 20 and sell 20 back she will have 40. Repeat into the 100's and you can mass produce potions of levitate or whatever. This can also be used to barter all their money into your pocket. Buy 200 of something, haggle price down, sell, haggle up.

an old exploit thats been around since this game was released is the soultrap enhancement exploit where you put a fortify stat or skill spell on self for 1 second and a soultrap on target spell and cast it at your feet causing a permanent enhancement to your character this also works in reverse with damage stat/skill spell effects if you want to do that for some reason.
I was thinking of this during the video
You can do this exploit with summon Golden Saint or any other summon spell instead of an skill and the summoned creature will never disapear even if you cast the spell more than one time so you can become an army of golden saints.

I made a guy who did constant area fire damage. because why not? I was trying for unlimited regening magicka on an atronach build.

a couple years late, but if you make a spell that drains your skill 100 for a second,you can just train everything for 1 gold, and every trainer is the master trainer
I tried this but once the skill goes to 50 the drain skill works at half power. Anyone know why?

Not to mention how you can fly with skooma.
You don't need a master trainer in any skill if you make amulets using the drain skill enchantment this way>. *Drain [major/minor skill] 100 points for 2 seconds on self."* Costs very little to make and a scrib or rat soul is enough for what you're going to use it for. You use the amulet just before you engage whoever will train the skill. He thinks your skill is zero and will charge you 1 gp for the session, your skill will rise by one and the amulet will be recharged after the session for you to use again.
I posted a Journal many years ago with a record of all of the more reasonable exploits in a game where I finished the main quest of Morrowind and replaced Tholer Saryoni as the Patriarch of the Tribunal Temple, became the Grandmaster of House Hlaalu, Grandmaster of the Morag Tong, Master of the Fighter's Guild, Arch-Mage of the Mage's Guild, Master Thief of the Thieves' Guild, became a Primate in the Imperial Cult and Knight of the Imperial Dragon; achieved the top rank in all these factions AND reached 100 in all of my attributes in 50 level-ups, in less than 50 days of game time!

2 minutes in and you have basically shown us how to get a trainer to train you in any skill. Pretty damn powerful exploits especially if you are min maxing.

I have morrowind on pc but I want to breakout my Xbox (not sure if it even works still) and buy morrowind for it. Something about mw on console looks so quaint.
As always, Morrowind alchemy is purely broken.

This first tip is going to be a lot easier than training Enchanting with the paranoid guy in the cave, thanks!
There is a way to get the enchant trainer to not attack you. Increase his disposition with admire. max it out and he won't attack anymore.
There's better option to Atronach birthsign to restore magicka. You need a spell (or enchantment) with 2 effects. First Fortify Magicka 100pts for 1 sec, second Fortify Intelligence 100 pts for 1 sec. Order matters! Both effects can be obtained early in the game in lower level of Balmora Temple. The key here is the one bonus is additive, and the other is multiplicative, and i dont know whole math behind it, but the result is you get about 30 magicka from each successful cast EVEN ABOVE MAXIMUM! So you can cast it 100 times and have like 3000/50 magicka!
My favorite hack was my flight/speed potion. It allowed me to travel anywhere, just don’t use it inside.

Drain (skill) 100 pts for 2 sec on self. Cast before going into trainers menu. Each training level for 1 gold

I've played this game for probably well over 3,000 hrs - maybe more as when I first discovered it I think I played it for almost a year straight and the next 10 yrs at least one complete run per year. And I still didn't know all of these. The most entertaining rpg of all times. And on the computer it still looks good when installing the graphics extender.
If only there was a 'pour potion down npc throat' option, we could truly achieve everything this little divine world has to offer :D

Got Morrowind running on Mac OS X I have just been having a blast jump spell-ing around, stealing unguarded items to make huge sums of money, and using the drain skill exploit to level up all my non-Major/minor skills to get the x5 multipliers every level up. Forgot how utterly amazing alteration is, with a single point of slowfall being enough to avert death at the end of sweet jumps.

Using fortify spells and Scroll of Icarian flight I once jumped OVER the entire island!!! Straight over Death mountain. From Seda neen (The town where you start) and landed in the ocean north of the main island, in one jump. P
There's also a cheat with the status screen where you can refill hp,mp,or fatigue.
you know this: when infected with corprus end and str get +1 everyday while the others drop 1 point. you keep the + while you can restore the drop, this way i can carry 5000+ with over 1000 str. you keep the number till a spell damages str, mostly i reload when this happens
Hmm, you could probably use a console command to set your strength to whatever level you want :)

create spell: increase "x" attribute, "x" amount on self + soultrap 1 ft on target. Cast on self(while looking directly at the ground) = permanent attribute increase (also works for night eye, chameleon, sanctuary, resist "x", feather, jump, telekinesis, etc.)
Gotta try this, but how does this actually work?
Also works with a conjuration spells and on console if you have a bound weapon you can switch between that and a normal weapon and it will constantly increase your stats

@@sirjohn4996 I think it's just a bug that if you cast Soul Trap without hitting an npc/enemy it makes additional cast-on-self effects placed in the spell constant. The cast-on-self effect only needs to last 1 second. I recommend saving beforehand because I'm pretty sure it could crash your game.

Here is one more things that you might like. The Scroll of Windwalker/Windform, a very useful item, that gives 60s invisibility and 60s 500pt levitate ( making it one of the best items to travel around ) is sold by a restocking vendor in vivec/ald ruhn mage guild, after you progress through the mage guild or reach a high enough level. Its always there! I find it there every game i play its two sellers that can get it.
If you talk to the master enchanter while invisible you can use persuasion to make him friendly then train as much as you want from him.

Best Exploit EVER Soul/Fortification. If you're new I highly recommend you don't cheat your first playthrough. Take time to truly learn the landscape inside and out.

I actually found something out. I don’t think you really even need agility to dodge attacks. If we’re going to exploit the game, make a sanctuary spell at 100 to 100 magnitude for a duration of 1 on self, then tack on a soul trap on target, duration of 1 and area of 0 and create the spell. Use the spell while looking at the ground. Apparently the spell actually lasts forever and with 100 sanctuary, you cannot be hit by anything.
I remember using spell absorption from the atronach then casting a ghost, then hitting the ghost and absorbing more magick than it cost to cast the ghost.
#1 Spellmaking
#2 Choose a skill to train (destruction is the skill required to drain skills)
#3 Drain skill 100 1 second on self
#4 Drain skill 100 1 second on self (yes twice)
#5 Create spell.
#6 Cast near appropriate trainer.
#7 Train that skill for 1 gold.
## Win at everything you do.

First use a spell that Fortifies your Acrobatics, Strength and Speed by 100 plus gives you the Jump effect by 100
Next, drink a ton of potions to further these affects and maybe some spells/potions to buff your health.
Now find a high place with a few feet from which to get a running start for your epic jump...
That is how you join the Tamrielic Space Program.
Or just get the scrolls of incarian flight.
You only have a few of those but spells have infinite uses so long as you have magicka to cast them.
MinionOfDeth2112 and if you don't time the recast right, then some poor guard in Black Marsh has to figure out the spot from whence your corpse came.
Nicholas Farrell - thats why you make the jump from somewhere high up like a hill or castle wall. Gives you time to regen and/or pop a potion too. Risks must be taken in the name of science! 😂

My favorite exploit is making a Golden Saint follower that has no time limit and whose corpse you can loot at your leisure.
Buy the spells Soultrap (that transporter girl in the Balmora Mages Guild will sell you that one) and Summon Golden Saint (fr. Felen Maryon in Tel Branora)) and then get Felen to make a spell for you that I call "Horn of Valkyries". Maryon combines the spell Summon Golden Saint, "on self" with no time specified, with the soul trap spell, "on target" with no time specified as well. If you look straight down and cast the spell and wait for it to finish, when you look up there will be a Golden Saint standing there that will follow you everywhere you go, as if under the command humanoid (or is it creature) spell. And she will fight for you forever until she dies, she won't un-summon. AND when she does die her body will lie there until you bury her, so you can get her weapons at your leisure.
I conjure them to kill and soultrap their 400 points into Azuras Star and make powerful enchantments while cleaning up selling their expensive weapons, the ones I don't enchant and keep.

@@MrMisjudge incorrect, he walked off the hill and because of his speed he just glid the distance.
Add Soultrap on target to any spell with a duration to make it permanent. Boost stats, skills...you can make permanent summoned items and creatures that leave corpses. Dremora and Golden Saints drop their normal loot, so you can get real Daedric weapons and a shield, and enchant infinitely with Azura's Star.
If you know where to look and you know where the mudcrab merchant is you can get ridiculous amounts of gold right at the start, its kinda broken
Sell ingredients back to the vendor that has restocking inventory, their inventory increases by that amount and resets the restocking level

If you make a spell that does an effect on self and does soultrap on target the effect lasts forever. You can use this to fortify your skills and attributes infinitely (to the point where you have 1000 long blade or 900 luck or 2000 strength etc).
I found out with the fortify intelligence vendor if you buy the ingredients then sell them back to him he will sell what he originally had plus the excess you gave him and he'll start selling it like that permanently so essentially you could keep buying then selling back so you could buy larger quantities in bulk

When you have stats fortified above max and get hit by damage attribute spells, say by ordinators in Vivec, the stat will not recover if you cast restore attribute spells. You have to unequip your fortifying items, cast your restore spell, then requip.

Played on xbox years ago and still have the guide book. Knew the drain skill on self to train for 1 gold all the way to 100 but didnt know you could add skills to the trainer. I actually tried doing it but i was using soul trap in it to make them have the skill perma.

For the most part I completely agree. In some cases in Morrowind though it's quicker to buy certain items since enemies and loot aren't leveled. After you've amassed a small fortune and you're competent in light armor it's way quicker to simply buy glass armor from a remote location rather than pray to RNG gods before opening a chest. Money became increasingly useless after the series moved on from Morrowind, being only good for bribes and houses.

Once i broke my character by quickly switching between keening and sunder i had stats in the 3000s 3000 strength speed con etc. I would clip through walls and jumping was dangerous.
Be A Breton and get the Boots of blinding speed plus a levetation ring boom youre superman
Rex Holes be a Breton and put on the Boots of Blinding Speed and you're the Flash.
At the fort by balmora a guard sells the drain skill spell. Cast on self for 2 secs and pay 1 gold each time to train. There also a way to fortify skills and stats into perma but save before you do.

@@smoklares9791 moonmoth legion fort there's an imperial battlmage that does. Female named solea nuccusius I remember she was downstairs. Wearing the imperial armor in an imperial fort so that's why I called her a guard.

Ik this video is old but if you create a drain ability spell 100 for 1-2 seconds on self it will cost like 10 magicka and when you speak quickly to a trainer they will train you for 0 drakes.
My favorite exploit is summoning golden saint killing it and then before it disappears quickly looting it from it's ebony/glass/daedric equipment for sale. The only limit is the gold of the traders plus you get amazing equipment for your needs.
This is the easiest way to get a daedric tower shield, which has a ridicolous enchanting capacity.
@@madsante Yep! That is exactly what I meant by "for your needs". A renewable source of items with high enchanting capacity!
This restore magicka to self exploit for Atronach reminds me of one I used in Oblivion with my character that was Atronach, were I would cast Telekinesis on myself with a slightly higher Mysticism skill and absorb the magicka to restore my overall magicka. It worked probably 80 percent of the time. You would keep casting over and over during battle until it worked if you ran low on magicka. I really need to play Morrowind by the way. I have not played it yet.

@@zebatov Yes, I have played it now, but not mastered it yet. I did not use exploits. and probably won't until I beat it regular first. Thinking of trying at it again. I got discouraged about not knowing where to go at one point and quit. I really like it though.

Enchant is actually one of the easiest things to level up. You gain skill not just from enchanting items but from using enchanted items. So all you need to do is make four or five rings that have low cost abilities with big charge pools. Spam use the ring (go for something like feather or burden with a 1 second duration) and when it's out of charge switch to another. By the time you are done with the fifth ring the first one you used has fully recharged. You can max your Enchant skill in a few minutes this way.
If you cast Control Humanoid on any NPC then travel by boat/Siltstrider/Mage teleport WHILE INSIDE (you may have to drag them into a nearby building) anyone you are Controlling will travel with you INCLUDING the NPC providing the travel service. Slap them with Damage Strength when you are ready, and they will permanently stay put. Lots of expoits with this...I dragged the Wolverine Hall teleporter to Red Mountain, took Dagoth Ur back to my crib as a permanent decoration.
What about mark/recall?
I did with fortify potions intelligence . Too got a mana bar above 5k then enchant by your self with no gold Cost. succes not always guaranteed but load game and try again . You can enchant by your self with full soulgem click on then float above character in inventory menu .

so I'm not sure what the multiplier is for jump but, with 500 points of jump you can clear the map, you could probably jump from tel branora to soltheim (haven't tested this yet so cannot confirm I can confirm that I got to dagon fel from balmora and definently would have kept going for quite some time if I had not leviated once I got to dagon fel)
Part of the formula is the players carry weight.

I used speed and acrobatics to get around, especially on Solstheim, jump from one side to the other EZ
I'm I the only one who creates 3 spells/enchants jump on self 2 seconds 20/50/100 points on self.
It's basically fast travel but you need slow fall at early levels or you die.
I'm not sure the numbers but I think 1 jump = 10 acrobats either way you go high and can jump balmora to aldrun quick in one go.
Also if you make a levitate on target you can force npc to move at walk speed making kiting at early levels much easier.
There was something very special about Morrowind that was missing in Oblivion and Skyrim. I can't put my finger on it!!

As far as I know the only thing to take advantage of is the multiple luck points by selecting your favored attributes and the thief sign. Every other attribute can get multiple points when leveling up, but luck can only be raised one point per level after character creation.

U can just make a spell for fortify anything and soul trap on self and it will make the fortify permanent this also let's u go past lv 100
Finally I can get 100 training in armourer as the master trainer is missing the training service. He is in Ebonheart.
If your head is touching a ceiling npcs can't see you. Oddly they fixed this on the Xbox one version of Morrowind I played but not on pc
Why not use fortify skill on self, and soul trap on target? Much faster and easier, and cheaper... And todwendy is the master of short sword, and requires no questto find her in balmora.
Surprised you didn't get very far with that scroll. I've gone around the world 3 times by using one of those.
Popular opinion: The Elder Scrolls was more fun back when Bethesda did not care about balancing skills. Skyrim kids will never understand the joy of jumping over a city. Very sad thought.
I use Madd Leveler that allow you to over 100 in all skills.
"Potion overdose" has nothing on this.
theres a WAY better way to use the drain spell(may be damage i cant remember) exploit find a normal trainer and lower your stat to 1 and it will only cost 1 gold to train said skills
Constant effect fortify jump enchant is the greatest way to travel, if you do that, you can jump across the map with ease with no effort
Nah dude, 500p Levitate for 60 seconds is the only way to travel.
Or make a spell that fortifies all your skills by 100 points
except agility and speed unless you want to die
