The Supro Galaxy all-tube, two-channel combo amplifier combines two things Supro amps excel at - vibrant cleans and rowdy, mid-focused drive tones. The first channel is based on Supro's collaboration with Keeley, the 1970RK combo, making it an ideal pedal platform with an amazing amount of clean headroom. Forget the amp, the real star of the video is that jaw-dropping garment!
Don always does a great job on these demos. Everything I've heard and played from Supro has been legit. This one sounds killer, as well. Probably a bit more flexible than the other Supro amps, with the cleans, the boosted crunch, and the full-tilt gain channel all on tap.
I tried one out. Absolutely amazing. People, stop dreaming about Dumbles. Get one of these! I know I will.

Haha, I took advantage of the deal as well. Sounds great to me, but I've had that same lingering doubt. Why is it so cheap? Is it going to blow up in my face?

Good clean channel. Dirt channel is a little tubby and splatty tho. Think I’ll look into the Keeley 12” combo instead and pair it with my own preamp OD pedals
Hmmmm..run one of these Galaxy amps in stereo via an EQD Swiss Thing with a Black Majik head and cab, I suspect would great a very burly tone.

I'm realizing more and more that the sound I've been hearing in my head all these years is a Supro. I think it's time to sell my Fender amp and get one of these puppies.
I feel the same about old Ampegs (the small combos as much as the VTs). Wish anyone was making similar amps nowadays.
@@JohnsDough1918 I have a feeling that Yamaha (now that they own Ampeg) will bring back some of that vintage awesomeness (but with more reliable, modern manufacturing processes). At GearFest I talked with Dino from Ampeg for a bit. He's really excited about what Yamaha is enabling them to do, the high standards they have, and what's on the horizon. I can't wait to see what comes next!

I have a Fillmore 25w (awesome head) and ordered one of these for $699 because...well...why the hell not? LOL. Demos sound killer!
Supro rebounds after their Blues King, which sounded like a fart.

Doesn't surprise me, the Blues King was the lone bad apple in the current lineup.
This is fatty too. Not as bad but still farty. Probably killer with a single coil or mini hum.
LOL. I love my Blues King! I have both of these amps, but the Blues King gets a ton of playing time being a comfy 15 watts (great office amp!). It's gnarly sounding as hell, but that's the charm! The Galaxy literally shakes my house, so that only gets love when the rest of the family is out. lol.
