French guy here. Thank you so much sir. You showed me the 20 euros way to get a phone holder on my rt, then I am ready for the twisty and forgotten roads of Tuscany. You made me saving 80 euros. Kiddos from Normandy 👍👍
hello, great video, it's been months I'm looking for a support for my rt1200.. do you have a link to be able to buy one, I'm from France is impossible to find one like yours. Thanks a lot.
www.ebay.com/itm/194223783502 This is the mount I'm using, I had a bunch laying around the shop, then using a phone mount with a ball adapter of what ever length you like to make it fit the way you like. I personally like quadlock phone mounts to keep the phone In place, there are quite a few other brands now that do the sane thing. Ebay is a good source
í did it and not satisfied how it fit....i mean its do not fit!!! because the stearingbase is not round!!!....okee, it will not fall of but its not a elegant way...have done a baseplate on clutch reservoir that fits perfect....thanks anyway for your ideas...❤
Just a simple solution, quick and easy, quite a few people use this method now. Other options include replacing the handle bar bolt and adding spacers as a mount ( this method may look a bit more OEM) adding mount to the steering stem, bolting a mount to the top of the master cylinder. Or a dash modification. Also, adding a dedicated GPS is always an option. This one is just cheap and easy!
Well it's easy and not expensive, my phone has a battery and lasts about two days, if you ride longer than that I suppose you could plug it into the charging Port in the dash!

Hi. Won’t that scratch the handlebar? Does that gen of the RT allow the extension rods for those handlebar screws?
Never scratched my bars, and I had 6 or 7 of these laying around the shop, quick and simple!
Great video and recommendation. Can you pls provide the source and P/N so I buy the clamp. Many thanks.

Terrible recommendations. Agar about power?

Shouldn’t be aloud them on bikes
I can understand that, a GPS can be quite distracting. I normally just memorize the route.
