Yes - agreed. But in concert when playing this solo - he plays it in G and it's nothing like this.

This song is really easy but so good. I’m this was one of the songs I learned a few months into learning the guitar. Hard to believe I’ve been playing for 10 years.

I really like the way you told that. Very straightforward. I was learning it via tablature and I wasn’t quite doing it right and that lesson used just gave put it on perspective. Now I just got to get my hands on a guitar when I get off work and hope for the best. Thanks so much

Awesome. This one landed and got stuck in my guitar from out of nowhere about a week ago so I started working it from memory. Had it about two thirds worked out but was still a bit fuzzy on the chord shapes and inversions for the intro and verses.
Decided to ask the internet today and my heart sank when the first vid I watched was some guy playing the whole song with just three open chords in the key of G. "OUCH! Here we go again" I said to myself.

I love this song, thanks Marty.
I remember a few months back I couldn’t do this song and with continued playing, I’m managing to get my fingers fast enough to do these chords, and I’m also able to do the bridge section and bar the A and make a clean slide, while on my 12 string (which has strings that run at an angle making barring and sliding much harder) when a few months ago I couldn’t even do this on my 6 string (with parallel strings). It feels amazing to hear it work. I’ve come a long way, and I have you to thank for it Marty, I wouldn’t have gotten into guitars as much if it wasn’t for you. You’re a blessing and a true guitar hero. Also great tutorial as always!

Great lesson Marty. Love the CAGED Reference. The form that you call the D shape, I always see as the C shape with the root on the fifth because it is easier for me to name the notes on the fifth. Love the Tasty Zone Voodoo.
