Wait why would he be bitter? Except that he has a baby penis. My escort friend wouldn't lie. She said he was really shy about it but eventually opened up to her about it.
Kind of makes sense, women in Mexico are already used to men with small penises. And women in Mexico are also used to broken white men going to Mexico for some non judgemental TCL

Would explain his girly laugh and singing range too.

I need to hear John Mayer's isolated guitar part on the outro! He's doing some great things but they're lost in the mix.
This goes well with JM's "Panama" performance from years back. He's not an Eddie Van Halen player, but it's fun to hear him try other styles that he loves.

I've been a John Mayer fan since I first heard Your Body is A Wonderland, but I didn't know how good a guitar player he was till I stumbled upon his jazzy and blues stuff in the library one day! It was then that my mind was blown and said, "this dude can really play"! Most people haven't been exposed to anything but his pop stuff and because it's really catchy music, they don't pay attention to what he's really doing on the guitar! It's easy to just get lost in the catchy melodies!

What the hell? Sammy just turned 75, could have fooled me. I just turned 50 and take an hour nap every day. Damn! I remember being a little kid and my dad listening to that Montrose album. He got me the “VOA” album for my 13th birthday. When it was announced DLR and Van Halen were splitting, dad was pretty disappointed but when VH announced Sammy was joining, I can still remember dad smiling and saying, “you watch, this is going to be good”. That was way back in the mid-eighties.

Sammy is just living life and trying his very best to make an impact, not be negative, no regret..... and he should be damn proud of those Van Hagar years. There was some damn good music that came out of those guys.

John is a wicked awesome dude. Nailed the solo in his own way.

Mayer is that guy that the "experts" and "aficionados" don't WANT to like, but his talent changes the game.
I saw him at Eddies Attic in the early days.
I am a fan, but I was surprised by him being chosen for Dead and Company. I was wrong.
Like Joe Rogan says, "the haters don't matter if you are undeniable".
Mayer is undeniable... like so may others in this video like Melissa, Sammy, Pat Moynahan, Satriani, Hetfield
BTW, if I could sing like ANY rock frontman, it would be Pat Moynahan. I was lucky enough to be the promoter rep/stage manager for a few dates with Train at their peak... memory says Johnny Colt was on bass and my boy Tom was theirTour Manager. Still have a CD of the first set of one show.... the Zeppelin influences became obvious....
I love Sammy because he is as big of a dork and fan as me and doesn't care if you think he is cool :-)

I think John Mayer is a good guitarist, but every now and then someone like Marcus King comes along and show the world what true talent is. That kid plays circles around most guitarists I can think of.

Interesting to hear John’s take on Eddie’s guitar work here. Two phenomenal guitarists with totally different styles. John stayed very true to Eddie’s riff and solo, but to hear it on acoustic was pretty cool. Interesting that John Mayer also played Eddie’s solo on Beat It when Fall Out Boy covered it. Much more free interpretation there, but showcases their different styles all the more.

One thing that is often overlook when talking about knowing or not knowing theory is this that it does not matter at all how much theory one knows or any theory at all for that matter. It’s ultimately about beeing able to project the ideas in your head with your instrument of choice and the knowledge of how to do so…

Oh to have Sammy's infectious positivity and mindset when we're all that age, the world would be a better place. Forget the money, he could have retired decades ago. Thank you Sammy, play more guitar 🎸👍🏻👍🏻
