  • Join us on this Algonquin day trip as we explore the backcountry by paddling and portaging. Enjoy the peace and tranquility that only an Algonquin day trip can provide. We start and finish this Algonquin day trip at Smoke lake and travel in a big loop crossing Highway 60 twice. We paddle through Tanamakoon lake, Source lake and other small lakes in between on this Algonquin day trip. We are also lucky enough to come across something left behind over the winter.

    Canoeing at it's essence, in 'flow'. I think I will watch this again tomorrow for some serenity. Nicely done! Keep adventuring.

    Algonquin Park in the Spring..... during a Pandemic. The essence of the Park's solitude couldn't have been presented better. Thanks !

    Thanks for this route.... haven’t seen this one on youtube yet. I love seeing the lakes on the less popular loops. Looking forward to seeing the next adventure 🛶🔥⛺️

      It was my first time paddling this specific loop but it's definitely a nice shorter route perfect for a weekend trip. Fishing adventures are coming soon. Thanks for watching!

    Some stunning footage, nice to see that portion of the park so quite. Well done you two, I know I already said this on your Instagram post but that was a dandy shed!

      Thanks Teunis, it was good to get out and start getting back in paddling/portaging shape. That shed was a great find. I was surprised to see that nothing had chewed on it. Thanks for checking out the video!

    Where can I go to get the gear for a trip like this, or a 2 night trip? I’d like to take my 10yr old son. Thanks

    • @AleconAdventures
      @AleconAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well if you're looking to rent all the equipment and canoe there are outfitters located near most access points in Algonquin. Algonquin Bound Outfitters serves the Hwy 60 corridor and the east side, Shall lake and the Barron Canyon. They are a good option. Thanks for watching!

  • @theunluckyfisherman4845
    @theunluckyfisherman4845 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do they ever "close" the park? If its "closed" does that mean im trespassing if i go for a walk in the woods to go fishing?

    • @AleconAdventures
      @AleconAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Algonquin has remained open for day use during this entire pandemic. Camping in any ontario park or on crown land is prohibited unfortunately right now. You can definitely go fishing for the day. Hiking in fishing or fishing from a canoe are permitted. Good luck 👍 those trout are hungry!
