Why are you using the hard floor attachment on carpet? It’s why it didn’t clean well on the carpet.

    • @monsterous289
      @monsterous289 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Tons of reviews show that the single-fluffy hardwood floor head works on carpet too, so it's nice to see it actually works for moms who have bad backs, or we're just too lazy haha.
There's also a v10 Animal version with just the hard floor head, so maybe this helps people save some money

I love my Dyson V8 Absolute. My cat has really soft fluffy fur which sticks to everything. The Dyson makes it so easy to de-fur the carpets and soft furnishings. Oh and I agree - it's THE best for vacuuming the car!

I just think Dyson do everything so well.. yes their products are expensive but they are also such great quality.. I tried the shark at my friends house and I have to say.. it really didn’t compare to this vacuum at all! Xxx

I have the same one. I lean mine against the wall or a (closet) door. In a 90 degree angle. And it never falls down. Aren't you overfilling the bin? There's a max fill line. I empty mine afterwards and it never is completely full. I can actually vacuum my whole house with this. Love my Dyson V10 absolute.

It defo stays up of i our it against a wall but not if I put it on my worktop.. it does stay if it’s on carpet though, so maybe it’s my wooden floors which makes the head slip? I’m not too sure? Xxx

I watched your video to figure out which Dyson stick I owned. I spent several hours going through these videos 3-4 months ago after my HEPA filter got dirty and clogged to the point that the warning light came on, which I didn't even know existed until it lit up. Shame on me, but I rarely read instruction manuals due to their lack of useful information. Dyson manual is above average but still deficient. This time of viewing the videos from 4 people, I figured out I bought the V10 Motorhead Refurbished version directly from Dyson at a small discount. After just over a year, I may replace it with the v11 outsized only!
I love this V-10 Motorhead without some of the attachments that would have helped a couple of times. My V10 motorhead is definitely more powerful than the vacuum the previous homeowner had. It completely filled up the canister the first time, and for 2-4 times afterwards also. I get 10-15 minutes max out of the battery because I have left it on Max since the 2-3 time I tried different modes. It so OUTPERFORMS EVERY OTHER VACUUM I've ever purchased or used that I'll NEVER SWITCH except to a different Dyson!
It would be ULTRA AWESOME if Dyson would design a SUPERLATIVELY SUPERIOR WET/DRY VAC for flood situations. I trust their ideas above everyone else after 8 years and 3 different configurations. Ball, Portable hand held for 18 wheeler and now the V10 for house. When someone says vacuum now, Dyson is my first thought, which tells me they are the vacuum ENGINEERS! Congrats Dyson Engineers on owning the vacuum space! As a marketing trained person, I can tell you that IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT, and a position of preference that even marketing and advertising companies rarely pull off!
Lady Whelpdale, "Your explanations and introduction to your v-10 is ULTRA AWESOME"! Your floors are in good condition but your V-10 is so much more powerful than your previous vacuum, that you were picking up old dirt that the average vac wouldn't retrieve. The same situation happened with my V-10 Motorhead filling up for the first few applications. Your careful demonstration is definitely on par with the guys videos, keep up the great work! Great Job Lady Whelpdale!
The vacuum manufacturing competitor who has water to extract dust, "is more effective at smell removal", and just as potent on vacuum. For HYPER SENSITIVE ALLERGY SUFFERS, Dyson may not do the job you need, but it definitely does a super job with dust and dirt, just not ultra microscopic thru nanoparticles, or even pico-particles [trillionths of a meter. I daily consume pico-ionic magnesium from www.rnareset.com and even tested it nutritionally 4 years ago. The world barely realized picometer sized particles existed 30-50+ years ago, now we know, scientifically, they can do things to cells that nanometer sized particles can NOT! It will help you avoid heart-attacks and strokes by dissolving calcium that the body sends to damaged tissue cells in overstressed arteries, veins and capillaries! Picometer sized particles can enter red and white blood cells for the mitochondria where nanometer sized particles rarely can unless the cells are deformed! Dr Dean explains the tests in her book "Magnesium Miracle", as well as many case studies and tests that the average doctor in the USA doesn't seem to be aware of at all! ]. Hyper-Sensitivity can cause severe reactions as I learned from a friend in the 90s. I watched her hives develop when the wrong vacuum was used that didn't extract the smellable elements, which are solid particles also.
I'll stop here, I'm a lover of details, when in scientific mode, that I learned from a phenomenal set of metallurgical engineers in the mid 90s. Too much data overwhelms most people who aren't into engineering concepts or amazing scientific principles. Or my current favorite, Anthropology, Anthropological sciences, and ancient history, as in Erich Von Daniken, and appx 60 people at History channel on the Ancient Aliens team. Audios!

Kerry Whelpdale hi, they aren’t wrong either but the fluffy head is meant to pick up big debris on hard floors. You could of course use it on the carpet but it’s not optimum - especially when you are limited in battery duration
I cannot see your bristle brush head clearly from your video but if it’s the enhanced version, the middle portion of the carpet brush has been upgraded to catch bigger pieces of debris - it has a red middle gap. I’ll see whether I can include the photo for you

Kerry Whelpdale I was contemplating on buying the v10 which was why I was endlessly watching all v10 videos on TH-cam and popping into the Dyson stores for many tests and stumbled on your video
I ended up getting the last of the corded Big Ball Cinetic available simply because it’d be lighter to vacuum ceilings (you only have to lift the wand and brush whereas for the v10 as light as they are, you have to carry both the wand and the motor). Also the cord is extremely long so I don’t unplug more than twice which is in my mind almost as convenient as a cordless 😅

The 2 biggest mistakes with these cleaners are 1. Going over the max line in the bin, which can lead to dust accumulation in the cyclones and elsewhere, and 2. Cleaning the inside of the bin and the shroud, since the residual dust acts as a lubricant as it were for the release mechanism.

Dyson stick vacs are POS. They're clumsy to use and you have constant down time between emptying it, charging it, and washing the bin and the filters. Why would you want to take more time and add extra tasks to cleaning? It is faster, more efficient and much less costly to use an Oreck XL commercial. The Orecks also are better for your family's health. Dyson sticks weigh about 6 pounds empty with all the weight at the top, which makes them clumsyj; and to keep the Dyson stick going you have to hold down the switch or it stops. I had to empty the bin in the Dyson sticks for every room or every other room that was vac'd. It didn't stay charged long enough to do the whole house, so I had to wait 3-4 hours for it to recharge if I was vac'ing the whole house. The sticks entailed emptying the vac 5 or 6 times every time I cleaned the entire house with a 3-4 hour wait halfway through. The Oreck got plugged in twice and I could have the entire house done in a little over half the time than using the stick. The Dyson stick required deep cleaning once a month and rinsing the bin after every use. The Oreck requires deep cleaning once a year and a bag change once a month or once every other month. It's hard for me to believe why anyone with a brain would ever consider a Dyson! I don't have any interest in either brand, but I do have an interest in the time and effort and efficiency of getting the dirty work done around here; and also getting the biggest bang for my buck! Most places where you purchase a vac allows 30 days to bring them back if you don't like them. Try both brands yourself and you will see that what I'm talking about is true. Also read the recommended user maintenance so you know what you're expected to do as to not void the warranty.
