I just purchased v11 from Dyson, refurbished by Dyson for 399. You can purchase a Dyson refurbished for v10 for 229. Free shipping. but you must pay sales tax. Sale ends today Oct 7 and supplies are limited. Do it!
German shepherd + two cats owner here.... We have had the V10 for over ten years. Got it from the Costco. It works great. So far I have replaced the battery once and the power head a couple of times and naturally a bunch of beater brushes. It's still rocking. Sure, the V11 does appear to perform better but right now in this economy (thanks FJB) I can't justify upgrading, especially when it's so easy to get replacement components for the V10. We also have the Animal canister, basically the same situation. I don't like the digital read outs though on the newer models. When they fail you have to get a new complete head unit. New and improved is not always better. If I have to buy another it will another V10.
This is great for vacuuming my vehicles and also as I age. I am 66 years, three months and 14 days as of my comments. Having multiple attachments makes this worth getting. Being able to use the long attachment as well as using it as a handheld is great. Smiles
Just picked up a v10 animal for $579 cad at Castro this week. Brought back out v8 animal because it was the same price. The v11 is around $220 more in Canada
Watched this to decide on a refurbished V10 from the Dyson Outlet. Realized from this video that the refurb V10s they're selling include the new V11 attachments (hair screw tool, motorbar cleaner head, and the angle adapter) all for $220. Great deal to snag!
i did a test with my v10 absolute bear in mind ive had it for 2 years and purchased second hand, on full it lasts 11 minutes on high running the hard floor headand 45 minutes on medium with the hard floor head
I just use a V15 anti-tangle floor head on my V10 that I purchased separately because I got a V10 free from a friend because the original floor head stopped working
Dyson makes little changes all the time actually and Amazon and others sometime sell different combos. The anti-tangle brushroll on the V11 is a big step up from the V10 imho.
As of today, 12/8/2024, Dyson V11 Torque Certified Refurbished (I purchased one and it looks like brand new no sign of damage or usage) is $279.99 at Dyson's official eBay store including 2 years extended warranty provided by SquareTrade an Allstate company compared to only 6 months Dyson warranty offered at Dysons official website. (I believe first 6 months Dysons warranty then SquareTrade takes over)
I absolutely despise our V10. After 2 years and 2 months of use, the battery barely holds a charge, the torque drive cleaner head constantly cuts out and the internals of the main body get clogged with dust requiring disassembly (which is a total PIA) to regain suction. I have three Dyson branded hepa filters that I rotate and wash/dry after every use. Replacement cost of a new battery and torque drive cleaner exceeds price ($250) of just buying a refurbished V10. I am not a Dyson hater, I've had a V6 handheld for over 8 years that has more than proven itself and its worth. I am willing to pay the premium price Dyson charges when their products hold up to the test of time, but the v10 has not. This is just my personal experience with this model but I would encourage anyone considering the V10 to dig a lot deeper before purchasing.
@@vacuumnerds As of Oct 15, 2024, I guess you're still working on it 😒 Is it worth the money to upgrade to a *V15* (or Gen5Detect) from a *V10* 🤔 Thanks in advance.

If you can get one that's a great solution
Has the V10 not been redesigned? I have a V8 from 2023 and it has new Transparent filters as well as an anti tangle comb floor tool.

Is both of them still good?
Yes, they are both excellent vacuums
Looking for a great interior vehicle vacuum that will make getting dog hair out a breeze. Dyson suggestions? Other brands/products?
Corded or cordless? Budget?
@@vacuumnerdseither corded or cordless. More power in corded?
Thank you!
Very helpful! 💚
Glad it was helpful!
Hi! Do you know if this v10 the same model Costco is currently selling? (They have a v10 animal+ for $399).
It should be very similar. There are sometimes small differences in accessories, so check and make sure it has the pieces you want.
Could you make a video on the best cordless vac for under $100
Nope. There are none unless you consider handheld car vacs.
@@vacuumnerds thank you
The v10 from BJS now comes with the v11 pet hair tool. I cant believe i commented on this lol.
BJS? Can you tell me what this is?
@@vacuumnerds it removed my last reply for some reason. But BJs is a wholesale store much like Costco.
I hope Ryan was awarded the Blue Ribbon in the hula hoop competition at the Iowa State Fair
He was only outdone by Hermione, the Hula goddess.
Love me some furry kitty cats!
Wish you tested v10 animal vs v11 animal. This is just the v11
I answered your question on another video. I'll make a quick post or short the differences.
My v10 had issues instead of dumping money in it I bought v11
But does it clean the GR Supra well 😂
Haha - I use a Eureka canister for cleaning my Supra and GR86. I prefer a cord for more power th-cam.com/video/N_JnzXb0_Wg/w-d-xo.html
