Hello Tampa Jay, We are older (92 and almost 87) and just want you to know that we love these kinds of videos and think you do an excellent job with them - please keep them coming!
Hi my friend! I’m so happy to hear you have been enjoying living vicariously through my adventures. That means so much to me. I hope you all are having a great day. Thank you so much for for commenting. It sure did make my day.! Much ahead my friends!
Jay is so refreshing and so much joy in his videos. The world needs him a whole lot! As we get older it gets a tiny bit harder..so it's nice when someone like Jay can bring joy! Blessings!
A retro taco bell, that's awesome! As far as the static display, it's a F-84 . The air force demonstration team, the Thunderbirds used that plane in 1954. It was interesting to hear that you were in AF ROTC. I did not know that about you! You would have been an excellent officer! I'm a retired Master Sergeant of 22 years and was an aircraft mechanic and a recruiter. Keep up the awesome vlogs TJ!
I used to love those drives on 17 and 27 when I lived in Florida. So sad to see the abandoned places that were forgotten when the interstates were built and those towns got passed by. But there is also now a certain charm as well to those sleepy little towns. 😊 BTW loved the music on the video!
Cool to see Wauchula. I went to school at the original elementary school there when it was on the corner of 7th and Oak in the mid 60's. Gone long ago. Then went to the middle and old high school on Florida Ave. Next to the water tower there used to be an orange juice plant. Worked there for a time. Where the plane is there used to be a large brick church on that lot. When I was little it seemed as big as a castle. The Verizon store used to be a department store when I was young. For many years outside sat one of those .25 cent riding horses. Beeson's Drug Store sat kitty corner of the Verizon. It had the old hard wood floors and soda fountain. The City of Wauchula building was once an A&P. Many memories. Thanks TJ.
Nice to see you didn't give up and headed back to do it again! Hmm, I'll have to look up that festival you ran into when you went there before. Thanks for being persistent and getting this video done! The funny thing is I live near the Peace Creek, which runs into the Peace River!
Some of my favorite videos around are your roadside videos! So odd losing all that footage! Good for you ..going back and not giving up! We love all your videos and your sweet spirit. Thankyou so much!❤
I remember that day when you posted the whole video was lost. So glad you got to revisit and it was an awesome vid. There is something cool about old school Taco Bell stuff. Great memories. Captain D’s is a guilty pleasure of mine
Man, that intro/exit music is a vibe!!! So much so I looked up Roots and Recognition and am actively digging through their music catalog. This video is definitely in my top 10 favorites of yours Jay! Keep up the great work!!!
True, so much unique things and memories to see of the past.. I was not born in Florida.. but enjoy seeing such country footage that is still around .. for sure, it is not just about Miami / dade county Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach where it is quite crowded Such a pleasure to see these small towns with history and character that you share. Thankyou
my elementary school lunchroom had one long lunchtable with seats like in your vlog, except ours had different colored seats. (this was also several decades ago) thank you for a wonderful vlog tampa jay
Hey I don’t know if you will respond to this can you do a porky’s filming location video sometime since you’re there in Florida one of the actors that played the character Meat just passed away it would be really cool if you could do it no one has ever done it before and it would be a nice tribute to do it for him
Me 2 I know the actor rod ball that played Steve in 1 and 2 passed away a couple years ago and now Tony who played Meat just did I am so surprised no one has ever done it
Hey Jay! Craig from Rockford IL. I started watching your channel several years ago thanks to Woo😁 I love your style of filming, you're so natural. I invite you and Chris to Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin. Lottsa cool to see and do here. Both keep up the 🎉
So glad you reshot this! Great video...liminal vibes are a thing. Jay...you are creating excellent content, I am studying your channel hard to get this good! Guilty as charged with you being on our living room TV!
Nothing beats the retro Taco Bell aesthetics!! You tested the spirit?! No wonder you lost the footage last time! Be careful with that! Loved this adventure, and glad it worked out for you this time!
Happy Monday Jay…I am really loving the Florida attraction series. What a treat to see a bit of haunt in this video as well. Eagerly waiting for October. Please keep doing more of these types of vlogs. Love the background music and everything Florida. Although I’m from Canada (nice to see a reference of Canada in your walkthrough). Much respect to you my friend.
Now this a perfect day just exploring! I'm intrigued about the white van following you, glad there wasn't a repeat this time around lol, but it makes me wonder what you might have accidentally gotten into hmmmm. As always, love the video ❤
I watch on a TV and I can put the thumbs up option. I use it through Nvidia shield. Also very enjoyable episode. I was glad that you got the footage this time and it wasn’t erased. ❤
That’s so awesome! I really appreciate you watching and giving the thumbs up + leaving this comment! You’re awesome my friend! Happy to hear you enjoyed it
The jet is an F-84 Thunderstreak. Apologies to anyone who may have mentioned it already. Love the videos Jay! Hope to see you at a Rays game this season. Rays up!
Subaru-Vision! This being the second round, I’d give it two thumbs up if I could👍🏼👍🏼 Seeing that blood red water must be super creepy, especially at midnight!
Tampa , my wife and i were watching this on our tv and when you got to the part where you are under the bridge and point up towards the griffin bridge sign…. Our tv scree went dark and youtube froze …. We had to restart the tv and youtube and got back to the point where we froze but now were able to finish the video …this never happened to us … spooky …we live in pgh pa and watch/enjoy all of your and chris’s videos
Would be cool to have you come out to Highlands County to see the kennelworth lodge, and harder hall . I could perhaps get access to them for a full on tour ..
Thanks for sharing, you mentioned your time in Airforce training in college well even though you weren't able to service you should be proud of yourself I'm a US Army Veteran. Stay safe and enjoy your travels.
One of my earliest memories is visiting my mom while she worked a shift at the Captain D's in New Castle. Ironically she only worked there a couple days
the VERY first video i aw from you was "BLODDY BUCKET BRIDGE", i was looking for haunted places in Florida during the haunt season, anf from that point on i was watching, did not sub how ever till Tom Petty house here in Gainesville. so you have successfully filmed this, but the spirits do what they want when they want, glad you made it out alive..hehhehheh,,,😰
Glad you were able to redo the video that disappeared. Old Florida is just cool, at the same time sad when you see all the buildings abandoned etc . I cheated and Google searched the plane. It's a f84 jet.
Im thinking "a simpler way of life out there TJ. Looks nice as I eat my smuckers uncrustable. Wow that is a cool old boiler. That old Taco Bell is like taking a walk down history road.
hey you know I’m Indiana there’s an awesome haunt called necropolis underground you should go if you’re ever there it’s in the city Indianapolis they do Halloween Christmas Easter Valentine’s Day and a summer event in July
You and Chris need to put these cameras down for a week and you guys go do something together no cameras no media just you and her. I first hand know what happens and how people are and what they do how they make you feel people can be ***holes . She needs a light break just you and her making everything just about you and her.
Thanks for watching! instagram.com/tampajay

Since we're watching it, you must have made it this time. Good job. So many people move to Florida and never take the time to get to know its history.

Hi Jay, these are my favorite videos. I love Florida roadside attractions
Thank you happy you enjoy them
Thank you Tampa Jay for telling us about some of your personal life. Stay safe. ❤️🙏
Wauchula has always freaked me out. My in-laws lived there in the 80s. It's changed alot since then, but still creepy.
Thanks for sharing, you mentioned your time in Airforce training in college well even though you weren't able to service you should be proud of yourself
I'm a US Army Veteran. Stay safe and enjoy your travels.
Thank you Michael. That means a lot to me. I appreciate you and your service!
Cool stuff! Every place has its own story ➡️
I have never been to Wauchula, but it looks like a western town like the old days. It was so empty with nobody on the street.spooky
Worth going back, that Taco Bell is a treasure! Def late 90’s decor, miss the good ole days ❤
One of my earliest memories is visiting my mom while she worked a shift at the Captain D's in New Castle. Ironically she only worked there a couple days
i love that you show my home town that where is where i was born my friend i can you tell alot about my home town for sure . .
What a beautiful town. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you so much.

@@TampaJay your very welcome! That plane is cool!
Thought of Freddy Krueger when you showed the boiler too.
Give CtG an extra hug. Good luck.
Isn't that plane a Thunderbird? Used to go to airshows as a kid in the 80s and see them quite a bit.
its an F-84F Thunderstreak or the F84 Thunderjet
You did it!!!! Woooo 🎉
Love Bloody Bucket. Lots of scavenger critters near there. Always a great place to look for bones.
Thanks my friend. Such a cool place out there. I need to go back for some shark teeth.
Im thinking "a simpler way of life out there TJ. Looks nice as I eat my smuckers uncrustable. Wow that is a cool old boiler. That old Taco Bell is like taking a walk down history road.
Lol yes...we watch on our 98 inch TV! But I always try to come here to like and share❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much I appreciate you guys
Wow, looks like that old boiler was built in the town just next to me. Learned somthing today thanks jay
Wow that’s amazing
Awesome
tgat was so cool jay i have noit been out there in years thanks you try the ever gllacers in fla ok
I was hoping you would go back and redo this video. I was watching you in my livingroom.
It was like a UK lad going on a virtual adventure of usa 😃👌
This is an unusual place. It gives the vibe of one of those Chinese or N Korean cities that are built for show and nobody actually lives there.
Love the town
So like I was wondering sir Henry is going to do a Saint Patrick's Day theme hunt.can you film one of those somewhere
Used to live there. That's the third time at plains been moved
Love the music
Somebody must have asked why there was a Hummer parked outside the first abandoned house you showcased. Not suspicious at all.
F-84 thunderjet, pass by it every time on my way to Meeyami. LMAO 😉
We've experienced the 'lost footage' fiasco...Our video was about a haunted place, too!
the aircraft is a Republic F-84F Thunderstreak fighter bomber minus its napalm drop tanks.
It was a good watch 👍👍👍👍
Thanks man
You’re the Bob Ross of vlog
It was a compliment, you know
No such thing as happy accidents thank you!!
You guys should come to NJ this weekend because monster mania is happening!!!
That sounds awesome! Wish we could, we have other plans this weekend. Maybe next time! Thank you man
You should go to the castle in ona
Patrick Swayze’s character’s name in Roadhouse is Dalton.
Jay that aircraft is an F-84 F... you are welcome !!! Huggs to Chris the Girl..
Thank you!
I dare you to go back out there at midnight
The Peace River empties into Charlotte harbor and is full of alligators, so any dead meat going in, will be eaten quickly...!!!
I bet there’s tons of dead stuff in the harbor for sure
I remember erased so creepy!
hey you know I’m Indiana there’s an awesome haunt called necropolis underground you should go if you’re ever there it’s in the city Indianapolis they do Halloween Christmas Easter Valentine’s Day and a summer event in July
Is that a Republic F-84 Thunderjet?
I think you’re correct
That plane is an old school US Airforce Thunderbirds plane. It's a F-100C Super Sabre
Thank you!
Tampa J were you ever in the Young Adult Conservation Corps. In the Ocala National Forrest.😅
I was not, but that would’ve been cool
Hi Jay, i hope you're having a great day.

Anyone else eating Taco Bell while watching this video? 😂
Jay, that boiler is loaded with asbestos
Oh yuck !
