Folkiness comes with using the traditional Indian instruments. What you heard right at the beginning is an instrument called Tumbi, and of course you can hear the Dhol, the drum you play both side while standing. Their live shows are awesome; the energy levels are even higher in the live shows.

Indian metal is a relatively new and small, but growing, movement that I have heard has been slowly banging away at it for about 25 years or so collectively, but Bloodywood is the first to reach their current level of notoriety. Bloodywood has developed a reputation for delivering a positive and uplifting message in a hard hitting way. Their first album is focused a bit more on general uplifting messages as well as social and political commentary. The upcoming album appears to be a bit more focused on highlighting their culture. I appreciate this reaction and your thoughts! I have seen numerous comments that they have been one of the best live shows many people have ever seen. Bloodywood just dropped a new track called Tadka off their upcoming second album. They have really continued to refine their sound and improve their production chops since their first album. All three singles from the upcoming album (releasing this March), which includes Tadka, Bekhauf (Collab w/ BABYMETAL), and Nu Delhi are all bangers. I hope you decide to revisit them again soon. Their collaboration with BABYMETAL was particularly well received. ✌🏼🖖🏼🤘🏼(peace, live long and prosper, rock on)
