Unless you have more than the typical 1 week to visit Hawaii, I highly recommend AGAINST island hopping between more than 2 islands. Why? Because, rather than unpacking, relaxing, and enjoying the island experience while you are here, you will be packing and unpacking, traveling to and from airports, going through baggage checks repeatedly, and waiting to board planes over and over, etc.. You will also, most likely find yourself stuck at baggage carousels and in rental car lines, getting lost trying to find your AirB&B or whatever, and -- rather than enjoying the Hawaii experience -- you'll be wasting 1 or 2 whole days of your trip for every extra island you choose to visit. (Yes, flights get cancelled and delayed, and baggage gets lost , etc., etc., even when you're only island hopping.) So save yourself the hassle, pick one island -- other than Oahu -- and gift yourself with a calming, soothing, and relaxing experience of a lifetime.
