    Thank u sooooo much!!! Ur right, there is nothing out there on converting files like this to a paint masking cut and/or how to eliminate the double cutZ. I struggle with this a lot and have spent countless hours trying to figure this out. I usually end up using the pen tool or tracing the logos on the iPad app. This is going to save me so much time. Can’t thank enough for all I have and continue to learn from you!!!

    My stickers came with some unclean edges (on the font) and I’m pretty sure this what I needed to do so hopefully they come out much cleaner. Thank you for this video, it going to help me regardless

    Great tips Scott! I'm sure you'll agree there's a million ways to achieve the same results in Illustrator. I'd removed the old badly drawn type prior to dividing. You did turn me on to the magic wand tool- I'd never used that. Instead, go to object > select > same fill color (command 6). This grabs all the colors at once so there's no need to hold shift key. Finally, rather than move objects to view objects that are on top of others, I use use the hide objects (command 3) This is a huge time saver.
