Correction: This plane has 4x DEFAs
I spaded this thing out shortly after launch. I can say that despite its "high tech" appeal with the radar missiles, it is well balanced as it can be for the tier. Unless your enemy is in a bomber, any player with awareness can easily avoid your missiles. It still regularly faces AIM-9L and R-60M all-aspect 30G missiles, and for a plane designed in the late 40's that's quite a big ask.
on the other side of the spectrum, we have the a4e early. barely decent guns, 2x AIM-9Bs, and it sucks at everything in air rb

@@collander7766 I think hes saying that the reason they perform so bad normally is that noone trys to go fighter in them cause its easier to just farm bombing points. I agree with that. Using the premium one with shafirs for air to air isnt terrible either, so I imagine this thing will be quite fun when I get to it.

That radar and missile works better than skyflash ever have on my JA37C in this broken game, which I used to play on ULQ to get and hold 60fps, which became "used to play on ULQ to sometimes touch 60fps", which got worse and became "used to play on ULQ to get above 60 in a test flight", ULQ which for a great long time had all missiles made broken and useless unless they got lucky that is. I wonder if that has anything to do with how radars and missiles are for me even today, in this sad broken empty husk of a game.

You should try on the Israeli Vautour IIN, it has a bomber spawn and it can bring 4x shafrir missiles, I prefer that one because the missiles are not heavy as the french ones.

Ill never understand why the F4D-1 is denied its radar guided missiles but other and sometimes lower BR planes get access to them. F4D-1 injustice!
I like to take one 511 and on the rest take nords. I would disagree when it comes to speed claim.if given little dive it can easily sustain sub mach speed at all times and nords make up for lack of manuverability as moust people panic when u both shoot defas and lounch missile from 1. up to 2 km away. Lock-on's that are worth launching are very rare that's why i like to carry moustly nords- as the are as effective as you are with guiding them and i recomend learning them! I was able to win 1v3's in slight uptiers (up to 9.3) using basic interceptor tactics.

Hey, I remember a while back you said you were trying to figure out to make it so you could record your game while only recording the Game sound so you could listen to music in the background. did you end up figuring out how to do it? I've been stumped as of recent as to how to do for my stuff.

For me in the f4c I try to do that missile bus tactic but I usually just end up having an r60 shoved up my ass, and the radar rarely wants to work even when I'm at like 20k feet

Very balanced at its tier, but it’s french, so predicting an uptier to 9.0/9.3
I'm really like flying my Vautour IIA for some trolling after a bomb run, so I'm really looking forward to playing the IIN (late), esp if it stays at 8.7.
I've got a question though, have you tried running min fuel ( I think its 8min) on the IIN (late) to offset the fatness of the plane? I've run min fuel on the IIA and only had a few games in which I wish I had 20min and I've found that on min fuel you can surprise some enemies with your perf, which can lead to some epic kills.

I dont understand why everyone thinks the vautour is bad, its a bomber ofc it doesnt dogfight as well as a mig, and it is very playable against enemy migs these youtubers just have a skill issue
I use it as a fighter and I expect my viewers to do the same (it's the interceptor variant after all) and so I'll review it as a fighter.
Naturally my review isn't entirely negative. In fact if memory serves me correctly it's actually overall positive. I'm unsure as to why this claim is made when I am merely stating benefits and drawbacks of the plane in a manner which I expect my viewers to want to fly it.
Hi spit, I am seriously struggling to get to the 6th rank of the French tree, even though I have the Israeli vatour. Can you (and anyone who wants to answer really) give me some advice.

it's a bit of a weird spot. you always fight missiles you can't evade and your one advantage was lost years ago.
I suggest you run rockets with your bombs because they function as rudimentary countermeasures against air to air missiles, and to never engage in a dogfight unless you have to.
rush a base, bomb it, extend away from the battle if you can, and come back in to get select kills.
alternatively, you can return to base and rearm to bomb again, but chances are the game will have nearly ended at that point. maximize your RP per game by remaining in the fight
I recommend grinding in simulator. It's a jet with missiles and bombs so it's a really nice plane to learn with and figuring out sim is worth it in the long run
