Haunted by the lyrics, “peace on earth good will to men,” and drowned out by the horrors of the second world war, a homesick soldier in the besieged city of Bastogne shares his thoughts with his wife in a letter seconds before the germans attack his position and his life is forever changed.

Wow... just wow... and 28K in 2 months? Really? The weird thing - TH-cam NEVER showed me this video, not a single recomendation. I found it by chance, just scrolling videos with the tag " lego ww2". And found this pearl. Incredible amount of work. It's not lego film, it's an art. But once again... 28K? This world took the wrong turn somewhere...

Finally a short that is not just a meaningless display of technical ability and production value, but has a story that will speak for ever to everyone at different levels. The production is spotless and it does not get in the way of the brilliant storytelling. Like a proper very well done movie. I compare this to ATLAS another great stop motion short. Humans want and need stories with a message to be engaged and most times to be even warned or comforted. This short does it all. May you continue to do God’s work like this one and not be detoured by what the world craves and offers.

This was so beautiful and yet so heartbreaking. The scene where the world is falling apart around Mary is so well done, it conveyed her feelings perfectly! I'll be doing my best to share this masterpiece!

Honestly this is just way too underrated... It's very rare to see brickfilms with a beautiful storytelling and cinematography. Great work!
One of my favorite brickfilms of all time now. Pretty much flawless. As I was watching, I realized that Alvin was going to die and I thought, "That's too soon, what's next?" But I hadn't realized how near the end it already was. The time just flew by! Amazing pacing. I also loved that you focused on Mary's grief. I feel like most in a short film like this would have made the scene very short. The lingering was really special. Fantastic job.

This- this right here- this is the best brickfilm of all time. It’s shot so cinematically, the set design look perfect, and the subtle movements of the characters are incredible. I have no words, this was... stunning. Rarely do LEGO animations focus on anything but the fighting. This is so much more. Incredible, absolutely incredible.
I am in utter disbelief that this is Lego stop Motion. Down to the storyline, lighting, and animation it was an enjoyable and emotional story. If the Oscars had a category for best Lego Film this would easily win. Great job and can’t wait for what the future will bring.

I’ve seen so many things on TH-cam recently, none of them compare to the level of this. This is something that deserves to be watched in theaters, down to the last second and detail! I don’t understand why this has so less views, you should try running some ads on TH-cam, this deserves that 🎉! Beautifully made sir, this shall be on the top of my list of films!

WOW, this is arguably the best brickfilm I've ever seen.
The cinematography is incredibly. The shot choice guides the audiences eyes perfectly, which is rare for a brickfilm. The lighting is beautiful, and the camera movement is stellar!! Did you guys use motion control? Also, the pacing and edit is awesome - you guys built some serious tension. The mixing is also PHENOMINAL, and you wrote the score too?

This is so good! I did not expect a brickfilm to be so moving. The lighting, the atmosphere, and the voice acting all work together to make a very emotional piece. Actual tears welled up in my eyes twice, both times while Alvin was reciting the words of the hymn. This is a masterpiece of storytelling and animation.

Rarely is such a phenomenon ever released in the brickfilm world, especially one about war, both historical, real and fantasy. This one is special, as it’s not about the soldier himself, but his wife, who goes through just as much suffering if not more than what he does. Thank you for this amazing brickfilm!

Oh my this is the best stop motion I have seen ever. I say that a lot but this one is true. The letter flying through the air and switching scenes is mind blowing!

I found this because I was looking for the poem written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.. which so relevant for our times though he wrote it 137 years ago.
I sat through the Lego movies for my son, but was not a fan.. This blew me away. I'm shocked I was able to get past the Lego figures.. they have always irritated me. Not only did this immediately draw me in, but I was totally invested in the characters. I was actually tearing up when she read that second letter. Supurb work.. it must have taken ALOT of work to pull this off. Bravo.
