There's an interesting and heartwarming story about this game. It was released in 2021, and after several months, it still had ZERO players on its Steam count, surely in large part because it was made by just one dev with no access to any promotional tool whatsoever. Then a TH-camr, Joeseppi, made a video titled "I Played Steam Games That Nobody Plays", and Milo and the Magpies was among them. He noted how it was actually a pretty good game, and it was crazy that nobody ever played it in all that time. Joeseppi's video got several million views (it's close to 12 million now), and all those people got to learn about Milo and the Magpies, which has now more than 2,200 overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam and is popular enough for even established content creators the likes of yourselves to hear about it.

What a lovely game! Also, Dutch homes often have sinks in one or more bedrooms, so the girl's attic room with a sink makes sense. My bedroom growing up had one, and recently when we turned our attic into two bedrooms we also put a sink in one of them. It's just handy, for guest room purposes or a nursery. I feel like in the US homes often have two bathrooms but we don't do that. Unless it's a very fancy house lol
Anyone who doesn't speak Dutch won't get this, but the names of the neighbors in the little local newspaper are very fitting as well. The artist's last name is "Messhouse" and the pianist's last name is "Shortfuse".
Also, lol at the pronounciation of all the names. Always love how weirded out foreigners are when they see Dutch names.
There's a game that came out a few months ago called The Masters Pupil. It's also a hand painted puzzle game. I played the demo and it's really cozy. Y'all should check it out!

I love a good short-but-sweet game, but I kinda wish this one went on a little bit longer. That's not a complaint, mind you. I loved it. Cozy is the perfect word to describe it.

Oh my gosh, you guys are playing this! I've loved it so much since it came out and I thought it would be very good for you guys! If you like spookier and Twins Peaks inspired ones you should check out the other series by the developers, Cube Escape and Rusty Lake!
Actually Second Maze only helped with one of the side games.
But oh boy, I'd love to see them play Rusty Lake. Even would be chaos laughing at everything and Katelyn would be freaking out, very confused.
