Yes, please make this into a miniseries! I hope it'll be the new stand-in for cookie clicker simulator podcast, nothing like a pondering Wander ramble on about anything with intermittent gameplay dotted in-between! There's something about your thought processes that I find very intriguing, interesting and relaxing, both you and Chelle has that innate ability when both of you are doing commentary in a calm situation. Crossing fingers that it's popular enough to continue!
I planned to just put this on as filler noise while doing other things, but I'm not going to lie: watching those bars fill and everything was...entrancing.
Interesting... I suddenly remembered this game litteraly today and decided to try it again after like 2 or something years when I first seen it here... And here we go, another video!
Great to see orb wandering back! I got super hooked after seeing you play it, and the new update looks great, guess I have to wander the orb again too haha Edit: also, just a tip, holding left alt while you have a tooltip open shows more info about it
I've recently been sucked into an incremental I'm fairly certain you havent reviewed before, Idle Dyson Swarm. It's been pretty interesting progression, with a lot of tailoring through its skill tree, and a pretty good story/premise to boot. I've personally been playing the mobile version, but theres also a pc version on Itch since that's more your shtick. I really appreciate the game in its mobile form, as any of your offline time gets turned into consumable time, kinda like that one Melvor Idle mod, so you never feel like you're wasting time or missing out. The dev also just seems like good people. I've not personally looked into the pc version that much, but i can vouch for the game's quality on phone. Sorry about the wall of text, your vids usually get me thinking about lots of stuff with these games and other stuff and i have to try not to text dump about my relevant interests lol. I appreciate you and your content 😊
I would highly recommend the incremental game "Antimatter Dimensions" then considering what you said about incremental games as it is probally one of the more involved incrementals i've ever played with how you have to deal with some things in it.
I want to apologize, i start watching your videos to almost always turn them off immediately so i dont spoil the game and buy whatever you are presenting. Your ability to find games i want to play is pretty amazing. Keep up the good work
Looking forward to a new miniseries on this. Loved the first one though I think the new update made the progression a little less logical. Orb perhaps a little more spherical.
Do you plan on making a video about incremental games in the way you did for bullet heaven games? I definitely bought a number of games influenced by your videos and I would like to hear more of your thoughts about this genre.
the new output level did away with the old spell level system, the new spell level does upgrade the spells, independently from your output level, it increases cooldown and power a bit, and reduces spell cost a bit as well also, buffs to resource gain also buffs spell resource gain
Now that I've played for a bit, I'm coming in to watch the series until it catches up. In regards to how this feels different from other Quadratic Incrementals, the fact yoy have to work for the big numbers is one thing. For me, a different part of the appeal is that I can see this whole game just being a part of a larger game that is still yet to come, figuratively, not literally. If you read/listen to a Dungeon Core series, like Dungeon Born or The Labratort, Orb of Creation feels kind of like the sort of interface a character might see. And that's something that appeals to me.
Gonna stop watching; got 125 hours of discovery in this game, and not knowing what's about to come, is the greatest joy of game.... Will come back once I've learnt what's new
That Gather Knowledge icon is the from the Runic Tower in Element TD 2. Unexpected to see an art asset from another game that I'm familiar with. Don't know if that's a stock licensed graphic or not?
It probably is. There's several 'stock art asset packs' that are licensed by dozens if not hundreds of indie games right now. Whomever did the art for that pack, I hope they're getting royalties or even better have full control over the process.
So I bought this after the last time you played and there's some things that were there like the wizardry xp but didn't have a visual bar and a round about way to see what it did. This game looks so much better and now i guess I'll be starting it up again! Edit: I was wrong. Wizardry xp I don't think was a thing, i believe it was actually spell type like divination vs conure type spells
I went and downloaded this, somehow, I Have entirely different research options and after the initial few, I ended up unlocking space and haven't even seen psionics yet. I did get orb attunement instead of whirling divination, does that somehow change the initial unlocks? The UI on my game also looks pretty different.
Yeah the dev wanted people to have access to something after so long without majot updates. And this helps guide development via player opinion. Sadly some things didnt make the cut yet since the dev is rather prone to sweeping rewrites (but generally for more in depth gameplay and in this case player options)
@@thomasallen9974 Yes, it has been a long while since the last update. But at least this one is still actively working on it. There are some other games that I have the developer just got up and left without a goodbye note. I am just hoping the developer listens to the right people.
Hey! If you’re looking for a blend of MMORPG and active idle incremental games, you should try “Legends of Idleon” it’s built on the foundations of RPGs as well as incremental games, with lots of small boosts given over a long period of time while your various characters level up and get more powerful, each working towards progressing different skills like mining or crafting(which can all be completely idled while you play another character or just have the game closed) it’s very fun and constantly introduces new mechanics
I miss the lets play series. I understand they are a lot of work and don't get rewarded on TH-cam. So I'm not mad in any way why you don't do them anymore. It is just a bummer that my favorite content style isn't profitable.
Some of them seem to be doing well, so I'll ride the wave while I can. Maybe I just keep hunting for cool games until one takes off and then that becomes a series + streaming the games that I like that don't perform well, since live streams don't affect my analytics as much.
For people wondering why my version is different: I'm on the Steam public beta branch! Make sure to switch to that before diving in!
How can you switch to it?
@@thenightmarewizardcat yeah just opt in on the beta tab.
Ok ty I was wondering why mine was so different and went back to this video to see why
Ponder the Orb? No no no. Here, we Wander the Orb.
It's even funnier because in his server his name is currently Ponderbot
Wizards ponder orbs as a brooding behavior. Young wizards are born from orbs and elder wizards craft and ponder them to incite them to hatch
So... Orbs are basically wizard eggs?

I really love the minor upgrade scaling. Each upgrade being 1.01 times greater than the last. It’s not much but it adds up over time
Sooo Good! Its a game i can watch on youtube for hours, then go off and play it for days and still never get tired of it.
YES, been waiting for this to come back for ages! Love it!
i watched this video, bought the game and then i look at the clock and it has been almost 2 hours, time sure flies
Ah yes, Ponderbots.
Absolutely stunning thumbnail
I'd love more orb pondering.
Also thaumaturgy current amount increases your maximum mana storage temporarily.
I’m glad to see the game updated and back on the channel!
Also my favorite incremental of all time; thank you for letting us know that there'd been big updates!
Oh wonder thank you, just went to the open beta access and am gonna play along with you, can’t wait to see what we putting in the soup today

This game is awesome. I wish there were more games like that.
This game has so many layers, you're pondering an Oniorb.

Holy shit holy shit he playing the game I have been waiting for over a year for another play tell my school I have a 3 week vacation

Evolve Idle is super fun too
i love orbing the ponder.,.,
ORB!
Dangit. Just when my internet is down.......

Has wander covered antimatter dimensions cause i dont remember if he has(also a great incremental game and my favorite at that)
I haven't yet, but I think I'll tackle it after this.
Could you put a Link to the Games Playlists in the Description of your Videos?

Are you playing on the Beta branch? My game looks a bit different in layout and very few animations.
Yup!
i was just watching the previous series, lol
would you recommend finishing that one, or should I just watch this new series instead
IMO the previous one is probably still worth it. I made a lot of discoveries that won't be repeated here, or at least barely remarked on.
Yeah, the dev is kinda insane in a good way: the game looks and feels completely different... and that is supposed to be a simple update???

That's wired. "orb of creation" youtube page have only 1 subscriber.
