Wish the vlogs were 20 seconds apart, so good ! Wow Frank that is a top fish and just a pleasure to the eye. Great tip with the bucket and the FMG treatment, did you find the treatment more effective with a slower trickle in as opposed to the usual pouring in ?
Cheers for the good feedback Joshua 👌 Trickling in the treatment doesn’t make it any more effective but it helps stop the filters coming into contact with it, in it’s concentrated form so it should have less Impact on the bacteria 🦠
@@thekoichannel264 no worries, if I had more time I might actually use my camera skills and love your great film making in the videos. Very useful to know that with regards to bacteria and treatment. I think my nitrates and nitrites are a bit up and down as the treatment has hit the filters a bit. Looking forward to the next one ! Will you be at the All England show ?
You have such a nice pond and nice fish selection, I do like your idea with the bucket and the hole for slowly adding medication great idea, that is one sweet fish, great size. Good video
i do the same thing with the bucket except i use a 4mm air line with a stone zip tied to the end of it and just let it syphon out slowly, works out a lot cheaper on buckets lol
I put her in at 37cm a couple of years ago and Iv never needed to get her out but I think comparing her to the size of the others that Iv had out, I’d estimate 70-78cm 👍
Brilliant tip about the multiple scrapes 👍does a parasite free pond exist anywhere? the theory is not, which makes this koi keeping hobby franetic as something could explode at anytime (maybe being over theatrical there with my wording ...but you know what i mean 😀). Be well all
If I had somewhere to put one I would. But because I haven’t got one I’m very careful where I buy fish from, for instance with the latest 2 additions, i went a few times to look over the pond to make sure all was well before adding them straight to my collection. In time I think a quarantine take will come but I need somewhere sensible to put it 👍
You're yamabuki is absolutely amazing mate 👌👌👌
Mixing bucket is bloody genius!! So simple. Be borrowing that idea. Cheers Frank 👍
Great fish handling skills. Loved how you talked to her. Definitely pinching the bucket idea 👍
Yes mate, talking to them normally helps keep them calm 👌
What a lovely fish. She didn’t seem to mind you handling her at all and when you fed her :) I was like ‘mind your fingers!’

If I can get down there I’ll be there on the Sunday 👍

Beautiful Yamabuki. Stay safe and well 👍🏻
How big is your ochiba frank? Such a lovely fish

Hello what is the grey and black koi breed, never seen it before looks amazing
Very good video. I have the same as you with the bucket. Small hole at the bottom so it goes in slowly.
Good handling when you turned her over.
Does your RO come from your main water supply or does it recycle you koi pond water?
It comes from mains supply and runs on mains Pressure, nice and simple 😉
I’ll do a Vlog on it when I get chance 🎥
Great video mate you have some beautiful koi
Right decision to treat, Chillo a killer 👍
Yes Jim, some would say over cautious but I’d rather be that way 👍
What microscope do you use? Great video 👌

Was there any update on this beauty?
I would invest in a quarantine tank.
