  • Yellowstone’s Eastern Lower Loop has so many natural wonders, from the vibrant colors of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and it’s beautiful waterfalls, to the abundant wildlife found in Hayden Valley which includes grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. There are also colorful hot springs and bubbling mud pots, the largest high elevation lake in North America and even a bridge naturally made out of rock. We tried to do and see it all on our trip.
Even though I plan everything to the T I still love using the GyPSy Guide App gypsyguide.com/ for more tips and history about the park and keep the long drives entertaining.
We RV to Yellowstone and stay in West Yellowstone where we make day trips to all of the different sections of the National Park. Here is what we did along the lower east loop of the Grand Loop Road:
    00:26 Virginia Cascade Drive
    00:50 Virginia Cascade
    02:06 Upper Falls
    02:51 Artist Point
    03:22 Grand Canyon of Yellowstone
03:59 Brink of the Upper Falls
    04:44 Lookout Point
    05:03 Red Rock Point
    06:00 Lower Falls
    06:20 Inspiration Point
    07:27 Hayden Valley
    08:29 Grizzly bear with elk
    09:42 Bison
11:48 No wolves we missed them
    12:29 Thermal Pools Mud Volcano

I LOVE your videos! My husband and I have visited 32 National Parks and I have always done detailed research and made all of our plans. We are visiting Yellowstone National Park in June and staying 5 nights…two in Gardiner and three in West Yellowstone. This will be our second visit, first was 2012, and we only spent 2 days there. We didn’t get a chance to visit the upper loop/northern section and I didn’t want to miss anything on this trip. Yours are the most, detailed, comprehensive, funny and informative videos I’ve watched! I have taken detailed notes! THANKS

Oh my gosh thank you so much that is so kind of you to say! It’s funny how Yellowstone does that to everyone, we all go and realize one trip just isn’t enough, and I’m so glad you have the opportunity to go back and see it again, and even longer this time! I wish you a wonderful trip in June with many wildlife sightings…from a safe distance of course 😊

You must have gone in a winter month. Little or no traffic. Nice video.

Thank you. We have been going the end of September for the last 3 years, before everything closes, the weather is still nice, the wildlife is still out and active, and the crowds are pretty much nonexistent. It has been great for us so far during that time of the year.

Nice travelogue of these parts of Yellowstone. My spouse and I will be visiting Yellowstone this summer. I will check out some of the "less visited" areas that you detailed.

Nope! We bought a gimbal a few years ago and I hate it! So our trick is to hold the phone steady with both hands and think of your arms as the gimbal, keep them bent to absorb the movements and walk just a little slower and smoother, sometimes I forget to do those things because I’m so excited and the video turns out shakey, I just have to remind myself the “right” way to hold it and I can still look around and enjoy everything while still recording. Enjoy your trip, and I hope you get some good video while you are there.

WTF? Swimming not allowed because its cold? Swimming is allowed and we have been doing it for years. Maybe give some though to your words before just letting them fall out of your mouth.

I am so sorry, I should have chosen my words better. Instead of using the word allowed, I should have said not recommended by the National Parks Service due to the extremely cold water temperature. I will add a note to the video to fix the accuracy. Thank you.
