I love the fact that so many people are making their own versions of his song to show them how fed up we are in this country. We’re showing them that WE are waking up.
People are just doing "remixes" of the song because they say the attention the original got and what money he's making. Why not make your own song?, why piggy back off Oliver's song?. That's why you have mainstream/ independent rappers and singers doing copies or a different version. It's all about clout nowadays, very few are original. I've definitely had "enough" of banks/bankers, corporate big wigs and the wealthy elite using OUR MONEY to gamble on Wall Street like it was Vegas (and if they lose get bailed out by big daddy govt. while we lose our homes). I've had "enough" of the highest most powerful judges in our entire govt. system, having life time appointments, have no regulatory or watchdog committees to keep them in check, and as we recently saw and are still learning, are able to accept monstrous privileges, luxuries, and gifts, just shy of cold hard cash, not just from special interest groups but individual wealthy elites, which absolutely shaped policy and affected real people throughout the country. And I've especially had "enough" of them demonizing education, so that we just spit out little worker bees for the corporations, and don't realize that we live in the wealthiest country in the history of our planet, yet we have folks sleeping in the streets, including our vets that risked their lives for this country, and the fact we could EASILY afford universal health coverage for every single citizen, and treat healthcare like a RIGHT, just like every single developed country on the planet and some 3rd world countries already do.
See, Jon didn't choose to say enough is enough to those things, instead he, like Oliver Anthony, chose issues that weren't issues at all, until the failing-in-popularity wing of our political system decided to make them an issue in their fear and outrage creating machine they have, and shoveled that shit in their base's ears 24/7 until they bought it, and in turn regurgitated to others. I heard a prophecy that "I am" was going to use a hip type music by the youth to wake up people to lift the veil and fill them w the holy spirit. I do believe rap was it.
I always hated rap until I listened to every rap artist remix Rich Man North. So I went deeper and watched the other songs created by these rappers. IVE BEEN BLOWN AWAY. Ive been so exhausted in despair for the destruction of MAN by the evil that targets them. Couldnt understand why men didn't rise up to defend themselves from attacks. Its the lack of resistance that allows evil to flourish. Then I saw these videos by these God fear8ng rappers and was blown away and uplifted to see the battle is on! One song at a time.
Respect brother, tearing up on this one as much as I was on Chris's original. We suffer in silence while politicians fight over the smallest of minorities. Sucks that they're arguing over who's going to go in which bathroom while people can't put food on the table.
Here's the problem though. You can fight for multiple things. They use one issue you support to get you to join them, and then use that support to fight against you. I know one man has earnestly been screaming about how the rest of us have to struggle to feed our kids and afford a doctor's appointment and medicine. He has been saying it his whole career. But just because he supports gays or women's right to have an abortion, y'all all hate him. Bernie is the one politician that has been fighting for workers on the picket lines by the railroad and at amazon, fighting against Wal-Mart's poverty wages and tax breaks, government waste on military contractors, hell he even voted against democrats on a bill that would have allowed victims to sue gun makers because he knew that was not right. He is an independent and stays true to his beliefs. I don't get all the new terms and ways people express their self. It's strange. But we wouldn't have politicians fighting about that if we all just let everyone be. I keep to myself and leave everyone else alone, they can do what they want as long as they hurting no one, who cares.
