Hi 👋, I don't particularly like reviews but I did enjoy yours on the newly announced Quest 3S. It was very fair, and without prejudice. As someone with almost 2000 hours on the Quest 2 & 3 I followed all you said and I thought 💭 it accurately as well. At $299 it's a great way to discover VR entertainment, gaming (PCVR) , etc. It's a quality device and I highly recommend it for all of it's abilities and offerings. Mets has hit it out of the park, Again!
@@babayaga-h1q Are you talking about the Sonicgrace S3 Duo? Each battery pack can extend battery life by about 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on the game you’re playing.
@@Hayden-AOX The battery perf.looks great and is definitely tempting! I’ve got a head strap that charges super slowly, and it drives me crazy. Is this charging speed any good?
@@Charlie-HO The ad says it has a maximum of 20W fast charging, and it feels pretty quick. In my tests, the headset reached around 19W when the battery was low, which is more than enough for me.
Sadly rhe Q2 does not fit my ipd which has a half settings, so all i get with the fixed 63mm setting is grrae and brlurry imgame...so i just have tos tick with my aging Cv1 for the time being, which is still fine and works with all vr VR games.
@reality-rise Yeah i tried that but the Q2 i had would just not stay there no matter what i did.....so it looks like for me it's either the Q3 or PSVR 2, so just wait for BF sales and keep fingers criossed.:-) Cheers.
great review! how does it work with multiple monitors setup since it has only the centered “sweet spot”? im looking for my first vr and 3s vs 3 is really a headache for me since it is a 200 euros difference.
Thank you! The experience heavily depends on your IPD, as the 3S model only has three settings, so it's important to choose the one that best suits your eyes. When the headset is properly aligned, the image clarity remains sharp, though even a slight shift can misalign it with your pupils and cause some blurriness. However, when centered, the image quality is excellent. If you're new to VR and just want to see if it’s right for you, the 3S is an amazing way to get started. I myself however am a person that rather saves the bit of money and goes for the ultimate experience. I like to often have the best of the best haha.
I am really debating about buying the headset literally I’m so tempted but I don’t know which one to buy. I really want the quest three because it’s affordable however, I can’t afford the three. What do you think I should get? Is the three really much better?
If you save 200 more, you will have the Quest 3. In my humble opinion, if I go for something, I go for the best one because I want to experience the full thing. But I also understand that there are different people with different budgets. If it's really a steep price for the time and you still want to get into VR, Quest 3S is basically an upgraded Quest 2.
3s and 3 have same powerful chip, but 3s have the same worse ipd adjustment from Quest 2 so is best to get Quest 3 for full ipd adjustment with better lenses
i dont see the point if you have to take it off to recharge it every 2 hours you can never truly get immersed They should really figure out a way to have constant power
Thanks for the input. You can also attach a USB C cable, the Meta Quest link cable for example and plug it in to keep your headset charged throughout. Or you can get a third party headstrap with a battery compartment that is magnetic for an extra 2-3 hours. Some people care more about the lenses, while others are more focused on money. There's no right or wrong in this; it just depends on personal priorities.
I got a lot of questions and I’m not a pro like you guys and I’m at the right place to ask these type of questions which is TH-cam back then we would be ashamed to ask questions cause we got people around us.. I’m ready to invest if I need to watch movie me and my girlfriends and our kids can I buy 4 of them we all streaming same movies 🍿 on prime or Netflix or TH-cam or Hulu you name it , is that possible? Like a family movie theater. If that’s possible please tell me how ? 2 how big is the screen 📺. Like 75 inches or more or less? Thanks to whoever answer these questions to me

TBH, how long could the battery increase gaming time? i always have to recharge it when i watch the half of the movie or something else.

The trick I used back then with my Q2 was to fit the lenses either between position 1, 2 or 3. Just gave it a slight nudge.

Its worth it when you in leg recovery for 8 months. 😂 Love watching movies! Love playing xbox or ps remote play in thetre mode!

@jdogofoz3642 To be honest, it's not that bad. The Q3 is definitely sharper, but like I said in another comment, it's essentially an upgraded Q2.
