What an excellent message for our times. "Soil, Human, End, Disaster" is a powerful and succinct encapsulation of the environmental and human costs of neglecting our planet and its resources.
So heed the soil, the man, the end, and pain,
For in disaster’s heart, our truths remain.
"Heed the soil": relates to biblical teachings about stewardship of the earth (Genesis 2:15) and the importance of cultivating both literal and spiritual ground (Parable of the Sower, Matthew 13:1-23).

Thanks for sharing some very relevant and urgent thoughts. Every time some calamity strikes, we express our grief, come together to help the victims and it should be so and we should do the maximum to help the victims. Kerala is a role model in this respect, I think. Then everything is forgotten till the next disaster strikes. At this point, I am thinking of Mullaperiyar dam. It is a structure past its normal life period. Why is it that there is no urgency for a solution? Why is TN is objecting to a new dam? Is it because a disaster will not affect them? Is it a problem affecting only Kerala?

In 1924 there was flood all over Kerala. Who brought the flood? Who was responsible for the flood?
