  • Physical Therapy for Torticollis! Infants who develop this should be seen by their pediatrician to be evaluated and sent to a specialist. I am not a Physical Therapist or DR. This is just what we were taught by our specialist to help Dawson move past this. We started treatments at 3 months and he is nearly five months old now. We noticed his torticollis on our own and immediately took him in to see his dr. I had not had this issue with any of our other babies. But tune in to see Dawson endure his treatments.

    Thank you so much for posting this. I suspected something was wrong with my now 7wk old because he would not turn his head to the left abs would cry whenever his head was positioned on that side. I brought it up to the pediatrician at his last visit and she analyzed him and mentioned torticollis. She prescribed PT however he hasn’t began it yet and I’ve been combing the internet yo understand this condition better. Your video gave me relief in terms of what he will be put through; knowing it’s not major physical strain. Btw, Dawson is super majorly cute😍😍

    My baby was still tilting her head at the age 3 months, but her head was straight on her own at 4 months. I never heard of this torticollis thing until TH-cam recommends me about it. I thought it was a common thing if a baby tilting his/her head at that age (0-3 months). Btw, your baby is so calm compared to mine at the same age. My baby girl is so active and can't be quiet. I even mistaken her as a boy when I was pregnant because of how active she was in my womb.

    My baby has the same issue. She was tight on right side (tended to always look to the left) and has a tilt on right side. When holding the baby to loosen the right side shouldn't she be held on the right arm to stretch that right neck muscle? I noticed you had him on the left arm

    • @LaurenStewart
      @LaurenStewart  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My baby was tight on the left side. His PT instructed us to hold him on our left arm to help him naturally tip and loosen so he could turn right ❤️ putting him in a position to stretch him from the direction he was stuck in. If you put him on your right arm it would be stretching him towards the side he was already having issues with.
