      Hi 😃, I’m so glad that you’ll be doing the stretches- I saw a huge difference in my son after two weeks. Just be consistent and don’t forget to do lots of tummy time 👍🏽. Thanks for watching ! !

    I know tummy time is important for the child to prepare them to start crawling. so they can move all there muscles.
    Great exercises thank you for sharing them!

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Absolutely! However, there are situations in which in addition to tummy time kiddos need individualized exercises and stretches to improve their development. Baby Z was so tight on his right side that he was not rolling over in both directions and is now delayed in crawling. These exercises have helped him tremendously. Thanks for watch and always commenting :).

      Glad to help. Just be consistent with the stretches and consistent when helping your child move both sides equally. When possible talk you your child’s pediatrician 👍🏽.

    Hi my son is 4month old we r having PT appointment in next week.he is doing tummy time well and milestones r good.but he is having little flat head on his right side.may I Know how many months it took for your baby to get rid of torticollis?

  • @TheTorresms
    @TheTorresms 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The torso is so important. Can adults get this? I feel like one side is stronger.

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, adults can develop torticollis too. And after torticollis has resolved itself there is still a possibility that it can come back, therefor it is important to always stretch once in a while as a maintenance routine.

  • @aztlan08
    @aztlan08 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Bringing the child's knee to the head for the deep stretch doesn't necessarily mean they have to touch right ? It's just about facilitating a deep stretch up to what is comfortable/tolerable for the child...

    Should neck streching exercises need to be done in both sides? Or only in the affected side?

    • @mightykiddos

      It may delay your baby’s gross motor development. These stretches here are very effective, so they should work. How old is you baby?

    How many days does it take?

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no exact “number” as it all depends on how tight your child is and how often you do these exercises. You should, however, be able to see an improvement within a month. Hope this helps!

    • @J.E.C.

      for a mild to medium degree it takes 9-12 MONTHS of daily exercises according to our PT assessment.

      Aww, consistent stretching will most likely be necessary. I am glad that he will be going to the doctors. Wishing him health and happiness 😘. My little guy was a little delayed I’m his gross motor development due to the torticollis.
      But I can seriously tell you that the stretching helped a lot in addition to physical therapy.

      Take him my baby to therapy my pediatrician said yes but ive called 2 places and their extermely expensive my insurance doesnt cover it .. ive watched this video and not sure to just go with strechimg myself

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @jenny Melgar it pediatrician advices physical therapist I would do as adviced. However, if it is too expensive I would try these stretches for at least 4 weeks everyday. If you don’t see any improvements, it would be best to contact a PT. And if you noticed that your baby falls behind on developmental milestones I would definitely get professional help.
      These stretches really helped my kiddo and he is now on track with his developmental milestones.
      Let me know if I can help you with anything else! Best of luck to your little one 🤞🏽😘.
