I love how every god calls kratos a lowly mortal and shit like that but for immortals they seem to die pretty easily
He just makes it look easy, most of them take an extreme amount of damage before fully dying.
I don't really thunk the sisters died, and he clearly didn't kill them, he just trapped them in the past or something, i don't think he could really kill something as powerfull as the sisters of fate, i mean they define everything in existence basically
@@seekeroftruth9454 He didn't trap them in the past he made them cease to exist by destroying the mirror he put them in, plus I'm pretty sure he can straight kill them considering he killed Clotho, who was a sister of fate, and he literally can ignore fate so I think he's good.
@@edwardarroyo834 so far he stabbed them in gear, chest and belly and they were ok, I think they were reviving and truly immortals so he was smart enought to use the mirror as a trap bc he knew he couldn't LITERALLY kill them, and I think that's why the sisters did let him go so far until them, they knew they can't die and tried to use this as a safe spot to kill him but failed
@@seekeroftruth9454 He stabbed Zeus in the stomach multiple times with the strongest weapon in the game, and he still lived, but he still was eventually able to kill him, I think it just takes time, at the very least he proved to be capable of beating them.

If u had the launch PS3 (the higher end tier) this game upscaled to 1080 on a HD TV was very impressive more so than most launch games.

Although Kratos is an anti-hero at this point, he showed that as long a human spirit and hope still stand tall and firm, he/she can accomplish anything, EVEN toppling the so-called Gods/Goddesses in this universe, the game.

Kratos is a great example of how a guy who refused to take resoonsibilty for his own actions can be utterly dangerous.

Also the narrative that kratos never woirks hard is wrong. S o you mean to tell me a demigod doesn't need to work hard to kill a God? So kratos attempting to kill Zeus was just another walk in the park? Even his attempt on Ares life with help help from gods was not easy at all.
Kratos is only able to accomplish all these feats because he acquired hope. Confirmed in God of war 3. Even then he needs help because as atropos said, without the Blade of The Gods (not to be confused with the blade of olympus) he would've died.
So really mortals (Kratos is mortal) can overcome even the strongest of gods with hope.

I'm playing through the 1-3 saga on ps3 right now. I burnt out on these type of games when I was a teenager so when the first one came out I was in the 9th grade. Loved greek mythology my whole life but it didn't look appealing to me. Playing through the 2nd game now, and I really enjoy this fight.

The "you no longer control my destiny" part is one of the strongest lines I've heard in my life.

You're right. The hole in his chest never healed. He just went full healthy in Hades and came back up with full recovery.

It makes sense that mortals would underestimate Kratos and the gods of Olympus were overconfident/arrogant, but one would think the sisters of fate wouldn't have been so arrogant. They must've been blind to see that Kratos will defy all odds including fate & death to claim what he desires and murder as many people/monsters in his way to get it.
Because plot armor, the nobel of the game totally fails to explain how the sisiter didnt see it coming.....it just avoid the question which totally show you that it shouldnt have been possible for her to not see it coming since they control all fates
@@illutia4869 I am pretty sure the sisters didn't wanted to fight Kratos, Just look at Lakhesis, she tries to seduce/convince kratos to stop pursuing revenge, it is just kratos who pisses her off and the sisters decide to kill him right then and there without actually looking into their own fate.

And again, what you say don't make any sense, why would they want to try to prevent him to do something, they are the FATES they know the future, they know how Kratos will react to what she says, they know he wont give up in his quest for revenge, and it is why to me all what Lahkesis do here is just for her own fun and sadism, because its what she do.
To me, it is either very very bad writing, either the fates did this oin purpose, the fact is, they dont die at the end of the fight, which mean they lose nothing to what Kratos do to Zeus in the end, what i do beleive is that they are behind the prophecy of the marked warrior, and all they do here in this scene and fight is cheat death for Kratos to believe that he control his own fate (which is ultimately wrong since all he did was to fulfil that prophecy).
And i mean, i know you really want Kratos to make sense, but he don't, stop trying to think god of war is high quality writing....

I said what i said because of WHAT I SAW ON SCREEN, I don't understand what Sadism she played. Pretty sure Lakhesis was being nice to Kratos and wanted to have sex with him to convince him to stop pursuing revenge. That is what the scene tries to depict, isn't it ?
And yes, Kratos beats Zeus and Fates because the Writer wants him too. Not because he's capable. That's how Video games work. It would've been boring if you couldn't kill the 2nd main villain of the game just because their OP, isn't it ? If you go Logically Kratos wouldn't even have arrived in Lakhesis's room as she would've killed him beforehand. And btw The GOW creator has said Lakhesis and Atropos are erased from existence. That means they didn't cheat sh*t they just got their ass handed to them. Which is obviously bcoz of plot.
And Btw, I know About the Fates, I have read Greek Mythology as well. They control Fates of both mortal and Gods. And their Mum Nyx is primordial goddess even powerful than Fates.

Lahkesis is sadiistic it is what the god book says about her, she is not nice to Kratos. OR and that is another of my theory, the writting changed during the game. I think this because in the game when you do the puzzles to reach the Fates, Lahkesis encourage Kratos to continue on his quest. When i played the game back then i thought "ho so i will get my wish and return to fight Zeus." but when i reach the throne room, Lahkesis is like 380 and say "No its not your destiny" while before she encourage you to continue, and its when i think the writting team changed their plans. I think, they did this because GoW devs especially back then where too much arrogant and didnt want to accept that you cant defy fate, and so they went retarded like "ho lets kill the fates" (even if it makes no sense to kill the fates...).
No, it wouldnt be a shame that Kratos cant beat the fates, because it would actually bring more shades to both him and the 3 fates that would be more than just evil but actually would help Kratos beat Zeus, just like they predicted the downfall of Cronos from Zeus so long ago.
And being fun and defying fate, thats total bad to do because its makes peoples beleive fals things, you cant defy fates, thats just a fact; and it is part of the challenges you have to overcome when you write a story that you have to make sense.

I think you're confusing Blade of Artemis with Blades of Athena (AKA Athena's Blades) there. Blade of Artemis is the large bluish-purple blade you get in GoW 1.

I’m at this part in God of War II! This mode has been difficult and has been a pain in the butt, but I haven’t given up. I made it this far and I will beat this game in 100%!

So two sisters survive Kratos as even with his might, he cannot really kill the two but caged them, now they are stuck in the past and even if they warn the gods of that past, it is inevitable as they will be forced to relive what will truly happen and one that they fear will happen inevitably, the Destruction of Olympus and the planet itself.

I remembered when my uncle give me the controller to fight Lakhesis. I was scared to fight her. She was half naked, yet very powerful. He told me to beat her then hug her with the circle button. I did not know how to do it, since I was too scared. He ended up beating the game, though.

Retro gaming a they're actually one of the easiest for me, took me only a couple of tries to beat them in titan mode. Theseus, on the other hand, is hell and the hardest boss in my first titan mode run.
Teseus and Zeus are just absolutely insane in titan mode in gow 2, for me those are the toughest

One thing about this game that always confused me
Taken from the God of War Wiki: *The Sisters had the ability to see the past, present and future of every creature: mortal, beast, God, Titan, and even fellow Primordial. They knew which action one would have taken and will take to achieve certain goals as well what the outcomes of their actions would be.*
If the fates control everyone's destiny then how come they couldn't anticipate Kratos defeating them? Shouldn't they have known that long before it even happened?

Lazo Chalak Ali i remember seeing in a GOW video that in the 3rd game, they were going to have the norse and Egyptian gods go to war with the greek gods. Kratos would realize that they also had their own versions of a God of War. And then things would had gone on from there like the sphinx got turned to stoned cause of a Gorgons stare and etc. Then Kratos and the 2 other Gods of War would then become the 3 wise men from Christianity. Ultimately the idea got dropped, whether cause it would had been too controversial or etc, but that was most likely a reference to that.
