I love in a creole cottage very similar though without the dormers, and wood not brick between posts. Great house style, I love the upstairs that many shotguns don’t have and the relatively large sizes of rooms.

I also know there are a lot of authors and actors that live there. Famous chefs. I would love to see and hear about all of this. But seeing the actual housing of the area is a huge thing. This was fascinating to watch - The architecture is very different to what we have here and it was lovely to see how they had kept little pieces of the history while making it 21st century useable! Does the US have an equivalent of Listed Buildings like the UK? Like a prohibition to changing some (or all, depending on the grade) of the features of the building. I'd love to see more interior house or building tours, this was great :)
Hi Sharon. We do. It's called the National Register of Historic Places www.nps.gov/subjects/nationalregister/index.htm. We also plan on more interior tours.
I was just in NO last weekend... and I stayed at the Olivier House Hotel. We stayed in the Carriage House one night... and Anna's Creole Cottage for the last two. I would love to watch you tour that place! I walked around taking tons of pictures and still didn't see everything on the small grounds. Have you ever posted anything about it? I would love to learn more about it... so beautiful!

The original structure was built in 1840. Creole cottages were constructed in New Orleans between 1790 and 1850.

Kayla and Andrew (and crew), great job showing this home, also a great subject for future features. One home at 2805 Carondelet St was curious, very old and haunting in appearance. We stayed in a B&B near by, but not much was known about this property. Keep up the great work, hope to visit and tour with you guys soon. Thanks

I love in a creole cottage very similar though without the dormers, and wood not brick between posts. Great house style, I love the upstairs that many shotguns don’t have and the relatively large sizes of rooms.

I also know there are a lot of authors and actors that live there. Famous chefs. I would love to see and hear about all of this. But seeing the actual housing of the area is a huge thing. This was fascinating to watch - The architecture is very different to what we have here and it was lovely to see how they had kept little pieces of the history while making it 21st century useable! Does the US have an equivalent of Listed Buildings like the UK? Like a prohibition to changing some (or all, depending on the grade) of the features of the building. I'd love to see more interior house or building tours, this was great :)
Hi Sharon. We do. It's called the National Register of Historic Places www.nps.gov/subjects/nationalregister/index.htm. We also plan on more interior tours.
I was just in NO last weekend... and I stayed at the Olivier House Hotel. We stayed in the Carriage House one night... and Anna's Creole Cottage for the last two. I would love to watch you tour that place! I walked around taking tons of pictures and still didn't see everything on the small grounds. Have you ever posted anything about it? I would love to learn more about it... so beautiful!
That's a nice hotel with a pool. I don't think we've posted anything on it. Can look into that as an option. Did you take any tours with us when you were here?

I've done some research but I would love to find more info and go back some day. I fell in love with the place. I walked around for quite a while and never saw everything there was to see. Watching a tour from you would be great! I've appreciated hearing more about such a original city from your channel
