I have chronic endometritis. How can I improve my chances for embryo implantation?

Recently, Eliza sent a question in to Ask The Egg Whisperer. Here's what she asked, "I have chronic endometritis, and I am finding very little on what the correct treatment process looks like. I’m already on a 2nd repeat course of antibiotics after 2nd biopsy still came back positive for CD 138 stromal cells.
My MD is suggesting to go straight into a transfer after second round of antibiotics without an additional biopsy. I’m afraid I may have an antibiotic resistant form and am wondering if you ever perform endometrial scarring or D&C to treat it?
Would you recommend to have a confirmation that the endometritis is gone before implanting? Also I am already on depot lupron 2nd month for endometriosis. Is it a concern that I will not get a period that would shed the bad cells somehow before a transfer? Would love your input on how you deal with resistant endometritis and implantation outcomes."

Dr. Aimee thank YOU so much for sharing your knowledge in such a concise, fun and empathetic manner. Love your analogies and optimistic attitude. You are my trusted source for all things related to infertility. I am shocked to see how little information is available out there about endometritis. For the patients who can’t get the endometritis cleared after multiple rounds of antibiotics, how many cycles of antibiotics do you recommend before deciding to stop treatment to cure the endometritis and start the fertility treatments? How many endometrial biopsies are too many? Is IUI or IVF discouraged for patients with persistent chronic endometritis? I am currently going through my 4th round of antibiotics, getting ready for my 5th endometrial biopsy and wondering at what point it’s realistic to conclude that I may be dealing with persistent chronic endometritis… forever. Thank YOU so much Dr. Aimee for being such an amazing advocate, counselor and educator.
