Howdy, everyone, aren't we the lucky ones to be together watching another great western tonight- all because of you Rob🎉 Yippee- love Robert Mitchum & Barbara Hale!!!
Thanx AWOW for this western, I really loved this one and other b&w westerns of the 30s, 40s and 50s. Barbara Hale was so beautiful and awesome. Its great to be back on Friday nights.
Wow ! Barbara Hale was a knock-out back then; and I just remember her from her "Della Street" days on Perry Mason ! What a difference. Also get the opportunity to see early Mitchum - even before he was Jeff Bailey in "Out of the Past." Cool.
Thanks Rob! Always fun to watch “Chito” as sidekick in this w/Bob Mitchum. Barbara Hale good actress (She’s surely related someway - my mother was a Hale! At least I’ll claim I have actors in the family - Alan Hale too!)
Seen this movie when it came out, and have watched it many times over. Never get tired of a great movie.... all that said and tears in eyes for the happy ending
I really enjoy watching this film. Wow, how young is Robert Mitcham. The comedy in this movie is well done. Kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia.
You bet they did, Annette. Thanks. I hope you've watched my interviews with Chris Mitchum. I also did one with both Chris and Patrick Wayne, two charming guys. Check them out.
Bill Williams also had a supporting role as Sheriff Pat Cronin of Blackthorne, Texas and friend of John Wayne's Col. Cord McNally in the 1970 Western Rio Lobo, directed by Howard Hawks.
Like number 577. Love Robert mitchum. He was good in all his movies not just westerns, but westerns are my favourite. New subscriber from Arkansas. Please more full movies with him👍🏻💛🙏🏻🇺🇸🐎

The east side of the Sierras must be riddled with horse and wagon tracks from all the westerns made there from Harry Kerry to Randolph Scott and John Wayne. This one with Robert Mitchum us great!!
At 47:38 the French character says that the French are the best cooks in the world, but it wasn't always that way. Long before the French Revolution the French aristocracy intermarried with the Italian aristocracy, and the Italian aristocracy brought their own cooks along with them. (I wonder why?) After the Revolution these cooks, being out of a job, made their living by opening up their own businesses and that is where the so-called French cooking actually came from.
Why did she think she could hit him like that? Im sorry but it would have been hard not to hit her back .I dont believe in violence but self defense is another thing. Women have to realize that they cant put their hands on a man either
Man I love this movie..yea sucker for love story. Robert mitchum I didn't like until I found out he was arrested for possession of marijuana. Don't figure because he always seemed like a bad character 😮😮

Thanks, Bill. Westerns are our favorites, too! Hope you've watched Mitch in the Hopalong Cassidy movies we have.
I seem to remember this story, but with TIM HOLT and a different actress. Nonetheless, a rollicking good Western. Thank you, Rob!
Probably, Terry. RKO kept reusing and remaking these westerns for decades using different leading me.
Thunder Mountain 1947
Richard Martin was Tim Holt's funny sidekick in many of his movies :)
He's always good, fred. Read more about the film in my Description. Thanks.

Where did he get the guitar?
Before he found out "he" was a "she" I could have sworn by his behavior he already knew and was going along while trying to make her uncomfortable.
What is habeas corpus
Its a writ that compells someone to appear before the court for prosecution or as a witness sort of like a subpoena
