I have been drinking alkaline water for years from a pitcher that makes the water about 9. and changes ORP to protect oxidation. I am 74 years old and take no prescription drugs and feel well.I am sure the water helps, but i mostly do it because the taste of the alkaline water is so good....very satisfying. It is very inexpensive to make it. Amazon has Vitev filters that fit Brita pitchers.
If you obtain minerals and electrolytes from food, it's not as bad as you think it is. I drink distilled and deionized RO water and take calcium, potassium, and magnesium supplements. I've had no issues over many months. If you want to be safe, you can add mineralization drops for the water. I just don't like my local water because lab tests have confirmed a lot of toxic compounds close to toxic levels.
Anything we ingest is mixed with stomach acid, and immediately becomes acidic, as we cannot alkalize the stomach. The alkalinity of our tissues seems to be more a result of our metabolic process and not from the pH of what we eat. Would anyone refute this? If so, can you point to any source of information that explains how alkalinity of food/drink could survive the acidity of the stomach and its digestive acid? I was on the alkaline diet before and this is what was presented to me, and Ive yet seen any explanation other than "theoretically".
I go to Whole Foods and only drink their 0.99 cents per-gallon alkaline water (plus the initial $33 cost for a large 3 U.S. gallon re-usable jug). It first goes through reverse osmosis, UV light, then an alkalization membrane to make it a pH of 10.3. I've noticed myself feeling much better. It's hard to tell exactly what it does, but I just feel "better." Sure, it's more expensive than tap water, but it's much healthier in my opinion as tap water generally contains some level of toxic by-products from chlorination plus other stuff.
I just recently started to drink alkaline water for daily use. Going on for 2 month's now. I prefer the taste and for me I feel better hydrated than just regular tap water. Overall I try too drink 3 liters per day.
Great video! Ever since I've been reading about alkaline water, I've been hooked. I've also read that if you add a small teaspoon of baking soda, you can pretty much make any bottle of water less acidic and more alkaline. Another example, one time I made the mistake of buying some sparkling water. I googled if there was a way to remove the acid from the bottle, Google pretty much said to put the sparkling water in the cup and put it in the microwave for about 3 minutes, and it worked. So when it came to tap water, I pretty much boil mines for about 10minutes, tested it with those Ph stripes, and yes it worked. You ever get a chance, boil your tap water and test it out.
And to add to that, once I've read about the dangers of microwaves, I've slowed down tremendously with that route, so I boil my water on top of the stove. Lol
If you want to make a real difference and not a 2 week trial then move heaven and earth to get the Kangen Water machine from Enagic. Why? For a start you will never have to compromise because you've run out of water. You will have waters delivered at the correct pH for multiple purposes, not just for drinking. You will guarantee that your children will never have to drink water that harms their body or their minds again.
…I have our kangen water machine since 2015 because my son is suffering from asthma & skin asthma…since then we never use again his nebulizer & skin ointment…my gallstone is gone…why don’t u try kangen water…
First of all i don't think everyone should drink it entirely but it could be a great option for people who are having stomach/acidity/GERD problems etc. For people who are already fit and fine - a 7PH water would be perfect. Don't try to change what is already good.
My favorite alkaline water is fiji water. It’s awesome! I’ve recently just purchased the alkaline water bottle I’m so excited because alkaline water is the best. It boosts your energy and your skin begins to glow throughout the day and it’s very good for you.
Alkiline water should shift the acid in your stomach to be less acidic. I wonder does this make you digest your food more slowly and make you fill full longer? If so wouldn't that lead to eating less and possibly losing weight?
Messes with your digestion over time and electrolytes which your heart needs so while you maybe feeling good now taking later down the track. It's probably best not to mess with the pH levels of your water but you can buy spring water or along the lines which is alkaline water but the pH levels have not been messed with it jist jas added natural things that make it like that
i wish i could get my thirst down to 3-4 L a day im actually at a point where im drinking 4-5 gallons a day because of my dry mouth if anyone knows why im always thirsty im listening im sick of having to pee every 30 min and no it not diabetes i have been tasted regularly my A1c is 5.0
You need to go to the doctor right away. Polydipsia (the medical term for excessive thirst) and xerostomia (dry mouth) to the degree you're experiencing is abnormal. You may not have diabetes, but there is definitely something medically wrong. Could be diabetes insipidus (which is _not_ diabetes despite the name), kidney disease, liver disease, thyroid disease, who knows. Moreover, drinking such a large amount of water can cause water intoxication, which in itself causes its own set of problems including brain swelling, drowsiness, high blood pressure, even seizures. Plus, drinking so much water is most likely throwing your electrolytes out of balance, which can also cause seizures or even heart attacks. I'm not a doctor, but I am a nurse, and I strongly encourage you to get your blood levels tested ASAP. This is nothing to mess around with. At the very least you need a thyroid test and a CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel) which tests your calcium, liver function, kidney function, and more. Your doctor can suggest other needed tests. If you live in the U.S. and don't have insurance or don't want to go to the doctor, you can get these tests done on your own, which you can then share with your doctor. Google "Jason's Health". You can order lab tests for as little as $5.00 plus an $18 lab collection fee. They have labs in every U.S. state except New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. Your condition is not going to get better on its own. Please don't delay getting this checked out. Good luck to you.
Drinking that much water is doing you harm. You’re essentially flushing all your electrolytes out of your body. All the vitamins and nutrients and electrolytes you are getting from your food and other sources are being flushed away before your body can even use them.
How about all those Hydrogen portable water bottles we see with 3k-5kppm claims? Any benefit to drinking hydrogen water from these devices/bottles and NOT the huge machines just the portable bottles???
no that is not necessary, I just noticed a little different taste is all at first now I don't even notice the taste. You can jut switch and go to 9.0 or 9.5 ph. You do not have to mix it with tap water at all.
Theres a difference between artificial alkaline water through a machine and natural alkaline water, natural is good, the articial one, is not good for you

@@leonbigio5499well considering alkaline water has minerals calcium and magnesium no it won’t cause that.

Regardless, many people do notice positive results after drinking alkaline water.
So acid + more acid is supposed to equal less acid by this logic? I think every little bit helps

excellent response. @@xx_Aka_xx
But many modern diets lean towards acidity. Alcohol, processed foods, few nutrients and contaminants in the environment, medication.
I definitely now have more energy, better focus and wake up feeling like I had a good sleep.

Hi! Fiji water is NOT alkaline. The bottle says it’s ph and it’s 7 which is neutral, not alkaline… but Fiji is still good water.
Alkiline water should shift the acid in your stomach to be less acidic. I wonder does this make you digest your food more slowly and make you fill full longer? If so wouldn't that lead to eating less and possibly losing weight?
That is my question too, because our stomachs are very acidic for several reason: to help digest protein and to fight off microbes.
