    Troy Brenningmeyer
Weissenborn is actually a Lap Steel Acoustic Guitar because you hold it in your Lap & use a Slide to change the pitch of the strings while you strum.

The Dobro can do it too but it sounds different. This is a Lap Steel Acoustic Guitar.

Check out Jacob Raagaard from Denmark. His tone/technique is unique and he is one of the best players I know!

Jeff Lang is another great Australian player who's worth checking out. He's really great!

A little trick my Dad (a steel player) picked up from Herb Remington to keep your fingerpics from slipping... before you put them on just lick your fingers. That's it.

Man, those are heavy strings. I don’t know that I would want to go that heavy.

    Hi Troy!
Which string gauges would you recommend for multiple tunings
    (CGCGCE, DGDGBD, DADF#AD)?
Currently I'm using regular light acoustic guitar strings.
